No sooner did they return to Whealbrook than they discovered Pankraz had been summoned to Coburg Castle off to the east. So, they report to Pankraz at the town gates (time 0:22). After a little dialogue, they set off. Isn't it considerate of Pankraz to keep to the open where there are fewer monsters lurking? After an uneventful stroll, they arrive at the Coburg Checkpoint (time 1:18). Checkpoint Charlie lets them through with no trouble. On the other side, Pankraz has a bit of dialogue. After leaving the eastern side of the checkpoint, Pankraz leads the way north to Coburg Castle (time 3:50). At the entrance hall, he encounters some guards, who guide him to the throne room. In the throne room, they meet King James of Coburg (time 5:01). The king dismisses his guards before speaking with Pankraz--very interesting. Also, Pankraz sends Madason off to explore the castle. Sounds like a plan. There are plenty of folks to talk to in this castle, as in most RPG castles. Many will bemoan the behavior of Prince Harry. On the ramparts accessible from the throne room, there is the Chancellor (time 7:46). He seems at his wits' end about Prince Harry's antics. On the west wing of the second floor, Madason will find the king's current wife, the Queen Consort, and her son, Prince Wilbur, who is the king's second son (time 9:04). She seems about as plotting as Cersei from 'A Game of Thrones'/'A Song of Ice and Fire'. However, the poor kid seems to want nothing to do with it. Exploring the first floor, Madason finds that the prince has quite a reputation for pranks. In the room north of the church on the first floor, Madason can find a Seed of Magic (time 13:15). Anyway, the most important thing to do on the northern part of the second floor is to chat with the green-haired Prince Harry (time 15:10). What a little jerk. After speaking with the important folks in the castle, including Harry, Madason has to return to the throne room to find King James (time 16:27). Hey, where's Pops? The King explains. Sorry, kingy, that sounds like a tall order. Downstairs, Madason can find Pankraz outside of Harry's room (time 17:02). He asks Madason to befriend the prince. So, Madason forces himself to chat with the bratty green-haired prince again (time 17:44). Harry instructs our young protagonist to find a Lackey's Badge in a chest in the adjoining room. So, Madason goes next door to check the chest (time 18:35). What the heck! And the prince has disappeared! Madason reports this irregularity to Pankraz (time 18:48). But when Daddy checks the situation, His Obnoxiousness has returned. What's going on here? After another failed attempt to find the badge in the chest, Madason finds that the prince has again disappeared. Fool me once... So, Madason decides to check around the chair where Harry was sitting (time 20:49). Aha, a secret staircase! Below, he finds Harry, who is none top pleased that his secret is out (time 21:04). Unfortunately, the scene is interrupted by a couple of rude, uncultured kidnappers. Madason does not get outside in time to save Prince Harry (time 22:09). Nothing to do but report to Pankraz on the second floor (time 24:03). He decides they must rescue the prince before he's missed. Well, now Madason can explore the small patch of town south of the castle. There are some decent weapons and armour available from the merchants. A little girl says something about a ruin outside of town. It may be worth going there to try to find the prince. At the armour shop, Madason buys a Fur Cape for Baumren (time 25:25). That Iron Claw at the weapon shop looks like a good upgrade. He also stocks up on some Medicinal Herbs at the item shop (time 27:16). Next, I intend to wander around the Coburg area and save up for more equipment upgrades for Madason and Baumren. There are also a few monsters unique to this part of the story that I want to encounter to get them in the monster book. Thanks for watching! This is video #084 in my playthrough of Final Fantasy IV for the PC. This is episode 2 of the third playthrough. I am playing on Hard mode. Cecil made his way through the Mist Cave, the village of Mist, and the town of Kaipo. He lost Kain but gained Rydia. In the Underground Waterway, he also recruited Tellah. Rosa has also reached Kaipo, but she has come down with desert fever. Now, the party will head through the Underground Waterway to Damcyan Castle in search of the Sand Pearl to cure Rosa. The party resumes outside the Underground Waterway. They reenter the waterway. Underground Waterway (time 0:32): The party previously explored floor B1 of the Waterway Entrance, South. So, they go directly northwest through the area. Along the way, Cecil the Dark Knight reaches Level 15. To the northwest, the party takes the door to floor B2 of the Underground Waterway, South. On the bluff to the northwest, a chest contains a Potion. Tellah reaches Level 15. Rydia reaches Level 13 and learns the Black Magic spell Toad. In the south, a chest contains an Ether. The southwestern door leads to a save room. Tellah tutors the party on the wonders of save points. He volunteers a Tent so the party can rest. In a scene, Tellah and Cecil discuss things while Rydia rests. After the party wakes up, they save at the save point. Then, they take the exit to the north. They reach the northeast part of floor B2. To the northeast, they find a chest with an Ice Rod. Rydia equips this and sets up an ability to use it as an item. The party takes the north-central door to floor B3 of the Underground Waterway. The party starts encountering Gigantoads, so Cecil sets up his abilities to tank. His Dark Shield gives him immunity to Toad. The southeast chest contains 580 gil. The other chest to the west contains a Bomb Fragment. Rydia reaches Level 14. The party takes the northwest door to floor B2 of the Underground Waterway, North. The northwest chest on B2 contains a Potion. Cecil the Dark Knight reaches Level 16. Tellah reaches Level 16. In the southeast, a chest contains a Feathered Cap. Tellah equips this right away, since Rydia is well protected with the Adamant Armor. The party takes the northwest exit to floor B1 of the Waterway Entrance, North. A chest in the southwest contains an Ether. Up the stairs to the north, another chest contains a Zeus's Wrath. In the east, a chest on a dead end bridge contains the Shadowblade. They made their way from Hovering Reef 7 to Hovering Reef 2. On the way, they defeated the Blazing Karlos and Craven Piggard unique monsters. Now, they will continue on and enter Keves Castle. The party resumes on Hovering Reef 2. At the Hovering Reef Camp, they talk to Bitbit for "Nopon Register". Bitbit gives them a Blue Nopon Pebble. They receive Bitbit's Collectopaedia Card. They also pick up an accessory from the Traderpon. The party sets Zeon as their Hero. At the camp, they level up with bonus EXP. They also cook some Manana's Battle Soup. As the party continues past the camp, a scene takes place. Someone seems to be tailing our team. The party can climb a vine wall on the southeast side of the central plateau. They find a device that fires a rope slide northwest to Hovering Reef 5, I believe it is. On a lower level, the party hops southwest to find a Container. With a battle, the party finishes mastering their current set of classes. Noah, Eunie, Taion, and Sena change to new classes. They spend some Nopon Coins to boost their ranks a little bit. Meanwhile, Mio and Lanz stick with mastered Defender classes. The party slides northeast down the rope to Hovering Reef 1. As they step forward, a scene takes place. A rope slide provides quick access to the target area. First, the party heads east. Wall vines provide access to the southern plateau and a bypass around the soldiers in the valley. There is a Soldier's Husk in the northeast of this plateau. The party descends the northern vines and continues on. They discover the Ether Mine location. There are plenty of Ether Deposits here, but the party has plenty of Ether Cylinders at the moment. On a ledge southeast of the pond, the party finds a Container. There is a rare item just west of the castle gate. Look out for the Level 64 unique Levnis guarding the gate itself. Other enemies in the area are much more manageable. Part of the valley south of the gate is in the Ether Mine location, and there are more Ether Deposits here. There is a Container in the south, west of the end of the rope slide from the upper level. Among the Keves soldiers and Levnises in the area, the party finds a Level 39 unique Levnis, the Ambusher Tirion. Clearing out the surrounding riffraff before challenging it is advisable. The party approaches the crates in the target area for a cutscene. Another scene takes place as they arrive in Keves Castle. The party starts at the Storage Area #1 landmark in the Hangar, Lower Level location. It is very easy to get overwhelmed by Levnises in this area. There are some that call for help. With some care, though, it is possible to isolate many enemy groups. Each Centuris should be fought in isolation if you can manage it. The ramps to the east and west both lead upstairs. At the Storage Area #2 landmark to the east of the start, the party can find a couple of Containers. One can be reached from the west, the other from the east. There are two sealed doors in the north. I wonder if they lead to Colony 11. In the northwest, the party finds the Mobile Vespa, a Level 41 unique Levnis. It is not hard to avoid, but if you fight it, clear out some of the other enemies first. The southern gate leads back outside. A Container is in the southwest corner of the Hangar, Lower Level. Another Container is up the western ramp. The party goes up the western ramp and finds the Hangar, Lower: West Gate landmark. Next time, they will continue exploring Keves Castle. Welcome to my playthrough of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD for the Nintendo Switch! I am playing in Normal Mode. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIZ8kn0xML26CwjjzqHNz2HAHbFnrHWNB As of this recording, Nintendo just released the Switch remaster of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which was originally for the Wii. This release of the game provides button entries and control stick operations that the player can use if they do not care for the motion controls. For instance, the sword can be operated by the right stick. And if the player wants to use motion controls, they can use the Joycons. Storywise, Skyward Sword is chronologically the earliest game in the series. So far, the HD graphic updates look pretty good to me. They could have stood to orchestrate the soundtrack, but that's a minor quibble. In this video, I show the game's title cinematic and title screen. Next time, we will get started.
