Rycote, the company behind many of the best windscreens ever made, has entered the microphone game. Their HC-15 low profile short shotgun microphone and HC-22 short shotgun microphone entered the market in the later part of 2021 and for less than $800, each provides a detailed sound not found in most shotgun microphone today. I know this review is long but it's a deep dive and worthy of being called an extensive testing of the Rycote HC-15 and HC-22. Amazon Echo, also sometimes referred to as "Alexa devices", are next level cool... and creepy at the same time. It's really awesome to have a device that's entirely voice activated that can answer your questions just like in a futuristic movie or something. Equally awesome and scary. It's a marvel of modern tech and for less than a day's wage at minimum wage, you too can own an Amazon Echo device that you can be trained to know you. Even when you try to trick her, she still knows who you are and in this video I'm going to show you exactly how well she can indentify a voice if you build the voice profile. One thing to note is that it does better identifying your voice if you change it lower. If you make your voice higher pitched, it may not recognize your voice as effectively.
