"The Last Voyage of the Demeter" - Great Premise Lost at Sea!
The Last Voyage of the Demeter (also known as Dracula: Voyage of the Demeter in some international markets) is a 2023 American supernatural horror film directed by André Øvredal and written by Bragi F. Schut Jr. and Zak Olkewicz. It is an adaptation of "The Captain's Log", a chapter from the 1897 novel Dracula by Bram Stoker. The film stars Corey Hawkins, Aisling Franciosi, Liam Cunningham, and David Dastmalchian. The plot follows the doomed crew of the merchant ship Demeter led by Captain Elliot (Cunningham) who attempt to survive the treacherous ocean voyage from Transylvania to London while being stalked by a legendary vampire, known only as Dracula (Javier Botet).
Planning for the film adaptation of "The Captain's Log" began when Schut Jr. wrote the initial spec script when he befriended a colleague who worked on Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992), but did not come to fruition by languishing in development hell for more than two decades. After Amblin Partners obtained the rights in October 2019, Øvredal was announced to direct the film. The main cast members were confirmed in 2021. Principal photography began on June 30, 2021, in Berlin, continued in Malta, and ended on October 1. Some of the movie scenes were also recorded in the fortress city of Mdina. Thomas Newman originally composed the film's score, but Bear McCreary served as his replacement due to Newman's scheduling conflicts.
The Last Voyage of the Demeter was theatrically released in the United States on August 11, 2023, by Universal Pictures, to mixed reviews from critics.

"The Suicide Squad" (2021) is Good... NOT GREAT! - Movie Review/RANT!
My Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/user?u=65866472
What's going on guys? I'm Tyler and I'm here to let you know that "The Suicide Squad" is a really crappy title and is also NoPerfectMovie... better than "Suicide Squad", don't get me wrong, but still NoPerfectMovie!
"The Suicide Squad" is a 2021 American superhero film based on DC Comics featuring the team Suicide Squad. Produced by DC Films, Atlas Entertainment, and The Safran Company, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is a standalone sequel to Suicide Squad (2016) and the tenth film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). It was written and directed by James Gunn and stars an ensemble cast including Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, Sylvester Stallone, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, and Peter Capaldi. In the film, a task force of convicts are sent to destroy evidence of the giant alien Starro.
David Ayer was set to return as director for a Suicide Squad sequel by March 2016, but in December he chose to develop a Gotham City Sirens film instead. Warner Bros. considered several replacement directors before hiring Gavin O'Connor in September 2017. He left by October 2018, and Gunn was hired to write and direct the film after being temporarily fired by Disney and Marvel Studios as the director of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023). He drew inspiration from war films and John Ostrander's 1980s Suicide Squad comics, and decided to explore new characters in a story separate from the first film's narrative, though some cast members do return from Suicide Squad. Filming began in Atlanta, Georgia, in September 2019, and concluded in Panama in February 2020.
The Suicide Squad was theatrically released in the United Kingdom on July 30, 2021, and in the United States on August 5, while streaming on HBO Max for a month starting the same day.

"The Black Cauldron" (1985) - Disney Movie Review/Rant
My Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/user?u=65866472
What's going on guys? I'm Tyler and in continuing my series of Disney movie reviews, I'm here to let you know that "The Black Cauldron" is by no means NoPerfectMovie... yeah.
The Black Cauldron is a 1985 American animated fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation in association with Silver Screen Partners II and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The 25th Disney animated feature film, it is loosely based on the first two books in The Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander, a series of five novels that are, in turn, based on Welsh mythology.
Set in the mythical land of Prydain during the Early Middle Ages, the film centers on the evil Horned King who hopes to secure an ancient magical cauldron that will aid him in his desire to conquer the world. He is opposed by a young pig keeper named Taran, the young princess Eilonwy, the bard Fflewddur Fflam, and a wild creature named Gurgi who seek to destroy the cauldron, to prevent the Horned King from ruling the world.
It was the first Disney animated film to receive a PG rating as well as the first Disney animated film to feature computer-generated imagery. The film was distributed theatrically through Buena Vista Distribution on July 26, 1985. With the budget of $25 to $44 million, it was the most expensive animated film ever made at the time. The film grossed $21.3 million domestically. Because of its commercial failure, Disney did not release the film on home video until 1998.

Studio C is an American sketch comedy television show created by Matt Meese and Jared Shores. Produced by BYUtv, the show aims to be a clean, family-oriented comedy for a national audience.
The show traces its roots to the Brigham Young University sketch comedy troupe Divine Comedy, which shares some cast members with Studio C. The show's name is a reference to the studio in the BYU Broadcasting Building where the show is primarily taped.
As of May 2023, the Studio C YouTube channel had over 2.7 million subscribers and had received more than 2.6 billion total views. Its channel features many sketches from the show, along with a few YouTube exclusives. Studio C's most popular video is "Top Soccer Shootout Ever With Scott Sterling", which, by 2023, had over 91 million views on YouTube. Studio C posts new videos on YouTube every Tuesday and Friday.
In August 2018, it was confirmed that Studio C would have a 10th season but the ten original cast members would be leaving after the 9th season to create and star together on a new family-comedy network called JK! Studios. In addition to Johnson and Pence's return, the 10th season and onward feature all-new cast members.
In October 2020, it was announced that Jason Gray would return to Studio C as a permanent cast member in the fourteenth season during Fall 2021.
On July 19, 2023, JK! Studios released a full length movie titled "Go West" in Utah theaters, containing the original 10 cast members of Studio C. It was released nationally on August 11. In 2024, many of the members of JK! Studios, in conjunction with Canadian improvisational comedian Colin Mochrie (of Whose Line Is It Anyway? fame), announced plans to release Villains Inc., a self-funded production with plans to use crowdfunding to pay for independent distribution.
