In this inaugural episode, the round table discusses the questions that prompted the creation of this series of study. Our purpose is to lay the groundwork for a comprehensive study of the gospel message; its origins, and its purpose. We hope you find this series informative and enlightening.
In Episode 2, we begin discussing the all-important question, “Why do we need to be ‘saved’?”
As Christians, we all too often approach the answer to this question from the standpoint of already knowing the answer – often taking that answer for granted. So, most of us respond with some patent theological and doctrinal explanation that we have learned in church.
However, when we really purpose ourselves to study the answer from the agnostic point of view, we begin to see that the concept of salvation that we take for granted is not so easily explainable to a non-believer or a skeptic that may be antagonistic to the Christian faith.
How can we answer in a way that stays true to the gospel message, yet satisfies the mind of the inquisitor, and help them to understand that God’s plan for man is tangible, attainable, and is available for everyone?
Dive in with us as we being a journey that will take us from the origins of creation, to understanding the question that enemies and allies alike have been asking for hundreds of years.
