By the Sea LI Sound
Went down to Long Island Sound Sound on a nice spring day. There is lots of life in this area on land and in the sea. This is a good shell fishing area bird watching area. The weather was a bit cool close to the water. Good Oysters, Clams, and Moon snails here. The Moon snail broth pairs well with a nice IPA and some bread. #seashore #Quinntheeskimo #fungshui #beach

Went to the Brew Shed in the woods. Hung out with friends ate a lot of food had some beverages (in moderation) and had a punky fire to keep the bugs away . The weather was very warm. I planned in advance to sleep in the shed by myself. There are lots of critters in the woods, at 4:30 am dag gone nature called, I had to go in the pitch dark woods. I did have a flash light. I got up at dawn and packed up and walked to my truck. Overall I had a very good time up in the woods.
My pack I got from a young nun at the Abbey, My Camillus hatchet is good for carving, also it has a mean beard that would be good for self defense in the woods.The spoon I made from Sassafras.

Did some fishing with my family at my friends cottage on Memorial Day. We had a great time and caught all different kinds of fish. I took some panfish home and cooked them up. Went to my woodlot to cut firewood. I had tea, Dates and Fig bars. I used my gas stove because I can not have fires in these woods. Was down by the coast and saw that beautiful old truck. I got a new 1/2 bushel clam basket from K.B. White in Marblehead, MA. Nice cool day .

My son, grandson, Mike, and Matt hiked on the AT in Massachusetts. I was in the ADK. When I do hike I hike, with these guys. Its funny, I did not know where they were going to hike that weekend. On the way home from the ADK I drove by a parking area near the trail near Becket and saw what looked like my son's truck, so I pulled in the lot, it was his truck. I set up camp, had some local Ale from North Conway, a good Flank steak and four bean salad.
I set up my ENO hammock, PYS mosquito net, MollMe, Hammock straps, wool blanket the first night. Took a long time to get a fire with my Flint and Steel, my char was a bit damp.
