I got them boomerang skills!

Just been checking out Mario Kart 8, working up from 50cc through 150cc as I usually do, getting things unlocked along the way. Pulled off a pretty slick revenge reverse boomerang mid-air take down on Donkey Kong who had taken me out with a boomerang earlier in the race. Then use the same boomerang to take out Toad just yards from the finish line giving me room to eek out 1st.

I know it's only 50cc but I'd swear the races are tighter now than they have been in the past where you were practically guaranteed a win on 50cc as long as you didn't turn around and go backwards. I've had several run-away wins, but they've all felt like previous games' 100cc races where a small mistake or blue shell loses you too much ground. I dunno, maybe it's just because these are still my first trips through the new courses and I need to learn them.

[Updated 2014-06-10] Really, YouTube? Copyright claim on a Nintendo game, using Nintendo music, and shared with the official blessing of Nintendo by putting the option to share in-game? I think it's time to do some more tweaking to content id.

[Updated 2014-08-08] Testing out the song removal. I don't monetize these videos so it shouldn't be a problem either way, but if removing a song isn't too destructive to the overall video I might just go with it to keep my account in good standing if enough of these things get flagged. I'll just have to remember to keep them unlisted/private until I do the song removal in the future.

That said, when it's the entire song and not just a small portion, it's pretty destructive, however it's also pretty amazing that this works so well.
