A Monarch Beverage Company truck driver wanted a cheeseburger from Wendy's. Attempting to turn right from east bound East Washington Street just east of LaSalle, the truck and car made solid contact. The truck, by virtue of physics, has to make wide right turns. The car was next to the truck in the right lane. I have no definitive information as to who was at fault. Was the car already there and the truck driver did not see the car? Was the truck making the wide turn using signals and the driver of the car tried to speed by? I do not know. I just know that the cost of trying to get a cheeseburger ended up very high and the truck driver never got his cheeseburger.
