How To Get 1,000 Followers on LinkedIn per Month
https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6855937024118140928/
As someone who has over 19,000 followers on LinkedIn and routinely has his posts seen by thousands of people per day, I’d like to help you win on LinkedIn.
I’ll keep this tutorial simple because how you can win on LinkedIn is simple.
But before I get into the Action Plan, let me share two observations.
Observation No.1: Most people don’t succeed on social media because they will not do the basics. The basics are not sexy or exciting, most often. The basics take time and consistency.
Burpees and kettlebell swings are not that fun. But if you keep doing them over and over every other day for months, you'll see the difference. Not sexy, but quite effective.
Observation No. 2: Complex people (over-thinkers and the idle) love to complicate everything. Then they tell you that they are waiting because they “want to make sure I’m doing it right”.
Perfection is the blood brother to procrastination.
Start simple. Then build up your competencies and systems as you get into a groove of activity and success.

Most entrepreneurs understand the importance of branding when it comes to business. Building a well recognized and respected business brand ads tremendous value and can create a significant competitive advantage. Just ask Apple.
So why, then, do so many entrepreneurs fail to recognize the value in building an equally recognized and respected personal brand?
Personal branding, or the practice of individuals marketing themselves and their careers as brands, may seem to many an exercise in vanity. Doing things to promote yourself, such as having a personal website, a portfolio of professional headshots and an on-the-go personal pitch, is often considered the routine of self-interested people, from well-known celebrities to the annoying co-workers who boasts about themselves nonstop in the breakroom.
Done properly, however, a personal brand can be much more (or less) than just self-promotion. It can be a personal -- and private -- exercise in establishing confidence, credibility and courage as well as help you define priorities and focus on those aspects of your life you enjoy most.
So how do you build your personal brand? To begin, it requires a deep understanding of yourself. As you explore your personal brand, keep in mind that you need to be authentic and honest, as you will ultimately need to live up to it. Being dishonest with yourself leads you down the road of living a lie, which can create an inconsistent message to others and leaves you vulnerable.
personal branding is not necessarily about self promotion and being ubiquitous. Instead, a personal brand helps you define who you are and the type of person you want to be. As an entrepreneur, a well-defined personal brand can also assist in establishing your leadership style and establish how you want to be known both in and out of the workplace.

Reputation Management for Coaches and Consultants
http://www.edwindearborn.com/online-reputation-management/
Never has online reputation management been so important. John Q Public now has the power to affect the reputation of your brand.
Like it or not, the Internet is now one of the most powerful public opinion platforms available. Never before has word of mouth had so much impact as quickly as it does online. That means your business must respond faster than ever before.
One must keep in mind that public relations, online or offline, is that it’s public relations. Traditional PR by trade focuses on maintaining a company’s relationship with its various publics, much different than marketing and advertising. Publics by definition of traditional PR is people who hold some stake in your company. Think employees, stockholders, consumers, community groups and so on.
Now anyone can weigh in any time they’d like online. And the effect it’s having on brands and their publics is mind blowing. To ignore this shift of power, in how your brand and reputation can be enhanced or greatly damaged, is not something to ignore.
Public Relations In the 21st Century
And over the years, thanks to people who believe that public relations is a management function, the profession has developed into something much more than just propaganda and the ability to sway public opinion. PR, by trade, is based on research and methodologies that aim to upkeep the relationship between a business and its various publics. This is also true of reputation management
The global information age has forced PR to conform to changing technology, identifying new strategies to deal with our publics. The Internet is dramatically changing the way we view and practice PR. We now have the capability to identify where people are talking about our brand and respond accordingly, directly to those who matter.
Content Marketing Is Crucial To Effective PR
We also have the ability to publish enough content to dilute out negative commentary, if we choose to do so. This is a proactive practice as companies are doing everything they can to get both sides of the story out in an effort to manage overwhelming public opinion online.
Online Reputation Management Strategy
online reputation managementToday, there are a multitude of tools and resources that give us great opportunity to identify potential public relations problems online. But those tools should just be part of a greater PR strategy. Social media and reputation management tools are crucial elements. But even before you obtain a clear understanding of public opinion and before you even communicate, the most important thing to work out is your PR strategy.
And it’s not necessarily about ensuring your online reputation is perfect. It is about how you react to situations and engage with your publics. People make mistakes and corporations render bad service at times, but how they address these issues speaks volumes.
The traditional PR strategy model can still apply to your online efforts:
Define the problem
Plan the strategy
Take action/communicate
Evaluate through assessment
Repeat
Social media and reputation management sites and the ultimate PR communications tool. They allow you to respond to your publics in real-time. Before this was only facilitated through press releases, press conferences and the like, all of which didn’t offer the personal element social media allows. When utilized correctly, you can build loyalty and personal relationships with your publics like never before.

Best Video Marketing Tips 2017 | YouTube & Facebook Video Tips

f there’s one thing that YouTube’s insane success and Facebook’s recent, huge embrace of video has told modern marketers, it’s this: video marketing is the best trend in digital marketing.
We all know video marketing is here to stay; it’s no longer something marketers are playing with to see if it really generates interest and leads. Video has proven time and again to be the most effective marketing medium, and that’s why video marketing spending is on the rise.
The question isn’t whether to use video in your marketing strategy, it’s how. Marketers are faced with so many distribution channels, and it seems the game is always changing. How can marketers keep up? First, YouTube surpassed the popularity of live television, and now the big, flashy report is that Facebook has 4 billion video views each day and may be stealing YouTube’s throne right out from under the video site.
The fact is, YouTube is the second biggest search engine, next to Google. Yet in a recent study, 87% of marketers said they planned on placing video ads on Facebook, compared with 81.5% on YouTube. Don’t make the mistake of valuing one over the other, even with fancy numbers like Facebook’s 4 billion video views: after all, Facebook videos autoplay, so any view that lasts at least 3 seconds.
The rise and rise of online video content over recent years is showing no signs of slowing. According to Cisco Forecast, video will represent 69% of all consumer-based Internet traffic by 2017; this is expected to rise to 80% by 2019.
Meanwhile, another study from Business Insider estimates that video advertising will account for 41% of total desktop display-related spending in 2020 in the US.
