It has been pointed out to me that I am often critical of Muslim YouTubers, but the truth is, what I object to is the inappropriate status and importance assigned to them. A few viewers asked me to comment on the recent interview of Andrew Tate on @TheDeenShowTV.
While I am not really focusing on these sorts of topics anymore, it seems appropriate to address it on the Qawwamun playlist. I think there is a misunderstanding of Tate's version of respect for the version of Islam that he perceives, whereby some Muslims believe that Tate already adopts an Islamic worldview, and his conversion is just a formality -- this is very wrong. Tate's whole concept of Isalm's value is Dunya-centric and involves no element of regard for transcendent Truth, or man's servitude to Allah. He respects Islam based on a very superficial view largely informed by stereotypes.
