Happy Birthday Conrail
Conrail (formally the Consolidated Rail Corporation) began operations on April 1, 1976. The Federal Government created Conrail to take over the potentially-profitable lines of multiple bankrupt carriers. After railroad regulations were lifted by the 4R Act and the Staggers Act, Conrail began to turn a profit and was privatized in 1987. The assets were split 42 percent and 58 percent between CSX Corporation and the Norfolk Southern Railway in 1999.
This is titled 7.2 because NS8098 was my 7th heritage unit I caught and this was the second time.

Part 1 of a great day
As most of you know, I love to drive.. So on occasion I take courier and delivery jobs, so when you see me in far off distant lands hunting down a good fishing spot to catch a train, more than likely I'm just passing thru with a package. This time I found myself in Springfield Missouri, they have one hell of a yard there. I had to spend the night so I scouted the area to see where I could go the next day. and caught theses two BNSF trains going to and from the yard. the next day was awesome stay tuned for those great videos, they far out weigh this one by a long shot.
