And something completely different and I can recommend this to any fellow home studio owner, who has the desire to turn things around before becoming a burned-out desk-bound vampire.
going from a full desk with faders to mobiles devices only! This full studio fits in a Peli-Case!
In this video you see me wake up in a new work space and turn a nice classic Budapest apartment space into a workspace that houses a studio capable of doing all the things nessecary with respect for production quality. In my situation that's mainly creating videos, recording guitars and other instruments, mixing audio, teaching, studying and writing!
I had so much fun reducing my existing setup up rigging up this travel-setup and it allowed me to base myself in this inspiring music- environment that helps nurture a creative and productive state of mind. So, I've basicly reduced my studio in The Netherlands until it consisted of mobile devices only. This allowed me to travel to a new environment in Budapest, Hungary where I'll be able to focus on creative work and development! This feels great, you know? I've collected so many ideas over the years, yet I've always hit a limit when it came to working them out. My excuse was always being too busy. I guess I was, but I know I also got into the habit of thinking. And overthinking, leaving the brakes on, mentally. You don't need a lot to create. In fact, you need less. You need only what you need and that is time, an inspiring environment and only few functional aparatusses.
So I had this plan of quitting my regular job as a guitar teacher for a while, develop my online persona and business, read focus on my actual guitarist life and then @#$ happened. This happened to everyone and there's no need to complain about this as many others are worse off. Especially now.
I just had to postpone this adventure a bit, and I guess the perfect time doesn't exist anyway. It's now and it's on! Thanks to my existing viewers and new viewers for the support.

Quick demo of an epic rock and roll beast among the guitars.
Plugged straight into a Tweedified Champion 600 amp dialed in to the limit.
I am quite a lucky mofo, to state that I’ve got a 1959’ Les Paul! ?
It’s what you would call a ‘player’s grade’ guitar, cause it has a repaired neck-crack but it’s not painted over. It has non-original tuners, but the grovers are good. No drilling so reversable once I’ll find original tuners. Non-original bridge, that’s coming off.
The rest is original! So original frets, pickguard, screws and electronics with the original P90, bumble-bee cap and the 2 centra-labs pots. ⚡The soldering looks neat, might be factory, but not 100% sure. It has craquelé’d lacquer and the front has lost it's red colour. But the back side is still bright red. That’s a 59’ Burst red! It’s been well taken care of. ?
The ‘Mojo-Axe’ got a new bridge from the company ‘Mojo-Axe’. Slightly aged, and compensated breakpoints for a correct intonation. The 'badass' bridge that came with the guitar functioned, but it had a too much tension on the G. Tt’s radius was a little bit off, preventing a perfect pickup setting. Luckily the new bridge fixed the issues and improved the guitar!?
Before the new strings, I’ve used very fine steel-wool to clean out the manure from the fretboard, before a nice coat of fresh oil. The rest was only dusted off with a very fine rag, not polished or cleaned further. It’s what it is. And take the time not to add new scratches or other little happy accidents. I am a bit more careful with this one than with some of my other ones?
The Junior was an entrance model for the more expensive standard and custom series. It’s a fantastic guitar and it still feels like it’s made for the streets! ;) That’s what I love about it.❤ Minimalistic but versatile and as large as can be! Challenging your playing style and your making of guitar-sound. Might not for work for everyone but it works for me!?
