Someone once asked me how to create a heart emoticon on an Android phone, so I put together a quick tutorial on how to do just that.
I also cover how to fix the error message that popped up the first time I tried to use it.
Thanks for watching!

In this video we'll take a look at How To Install Emby On OpenMediaVault 5.
Emby is a home media server similar to Plex.
Bringing all of your home videos, music, and photos together into one place has never been easier. Your personal Emby Server automatically converts and streams your media on-the-fly to play on any device.
Emby takes the fuss out of managing your home videos, music, and photos, so that you can spend more time enjoying and less time struggling.
We'll use Portainer's Stacks option to make this install of Emby on OpenMediaVault 5 SUPER easy. Here's the link to docker.com linuxserver page:
https://hub.docker.com/r/linuxserver/emby
Check out the video for the changes that you'll need to make.

I've purchased and reviewed several sets of headphones and bluetooth speakers over the year and am always looking for something "bigger and better" for my listening experience.
I picked a pair of these up recently and am glad I did.
The packaging is simple, but it's what's inside where the magic happens.
You're greeted with a nice, hardshell zipper case that has a carabiner to attach it to your belt loop or bag. Alongside that there is also an accessory box that has a USB charging cable that splits so you can charge both earbuds at the same time. There are also 2 additional sizes of ear inserts to make sure you get the right size for your ears.
Inside the zipper case are a pair of well-constructed wireless bluetooth earbuds. They appear to be injection-molded and of pretty good quality. They are lightweight and the size is decent considering that each earbud has a batter, microphone, and control button setup.
Pairing them with your device is super easy and only takes a few seconds once you get them into pairing mode, which is done by simply pressing the multi-function button for a few seconds until the little light starts flashing red and blue.
When you've got them on, they seat into your ears firmly. They are comfortable and don't move around when you're doing things like running or cycling.
They aren't noise-cancelling, but they do reduce the amount of ambient noise you'll hear when you're wearing them.
The sound quality is amazing for their size and the fact that they are bluetooth (version 4.2). The lows are very well represented without distorting and the highs are crisp and clean. The mids are great and maintain a wide sound stage.
They are also sweat and water resistant to go along with all of that.

I will not tell you if your Chromebook is compatible. If you want to know it your Chromebook is compatible, you're going to have to figure out what processor you're working with. Then figure out what architecture it is built on (Braswell, Skylake, etc) and then go here to see if that architecture is compatible. https://johnlewis.ie/custom-Chromebook-firmware/rom-download/
If you want to install Ubuntu on your Chromebook and remove Chrome OS, this tutorial is for you. This is not a dual boot. This will REPLACE ChromeOS with Ubuntu.

THIS WILL DELETE EVERYTHING FROM YOUR CHROMEBOOK.

What you’ll need:
- Chromebook (I’m using the Acer C720)
- Live Linux USB drive (I’m using Ubuntu 18.04)
/=========================================/
Step 1. Enable Developer mode
Developer mode will wipe your Chromebook back to factory settings so make sure you back up any data not on your Google drive.
With your Chromebook turned off hold down the ESC and Refresh While keeping them held down, press the power button once.
Press Ctrl + D to bypass this screen.
Press Enter at the next screen.
On the next screen press Ctrl + D to bypass this message.
You will see a timer counting down in the top right hand corner of the screen. The Chromebook will reboot and you’ll see the screen with the red exclamation mark.
Developer mode is now enabled, power off the Chromebook.
Step 2. Modify the Chromebooks BIOS
By enabling developer mode, your Chromebook will always display the screen with the red exclamation mark on startup. Let’s now modify the BIOS to allow us to install Linux.
Turn the Chromebook on and press Ctrl + D to bypass the screen with the red exclamation mark.
Your Chromebook is reset to factory settings so you will need to go through the Chrome OS setup again.
Press Ctrl + Alt + T to bring up a terminal window tab.
Type shell and press Enter.
Type this: cd;bash ˂(curl https://johnlewis.ie/flash_cb_fw.sh)
** You'll have to replace that angle bracket with the one on your keyboard. YouTube won't let me use an actual angle bracket after the "bash"
Choose the option to Modify my Chromebook’s RW_LEGACY slot and follow the on-screen instructions.
Step 3. Enable USB boot
Pressing Ctrl + D at the screen with the red exclamation mark on startup will take you to your Chrome OS install but pressing Ctrl + L will take you to the BIOS screen to boot from your USB drive. Let’s turn on the Ctrl + L functionality next:
Press Ctrl + D at the initial startup screen to load Chrome OS.
Press Ctrl + Alt +

I had a request on Reddit the other day to get InvoiceNinja setup and running in Docker. I thought, "sure, that's no big deal." Boy was I wrong. I spent days poring over Reddit posts and forums and hub.docker.com and kept winding up with nothing that worked.
Finally, I put something together that DOES work.

The folks over at Turing Pi reached out and asked if I would be interested in taking a look at their Turing Pi device.
The Turing Pi board allows for up to 7 Raspberry Pi compute modules to be installed and run with only the need for a single power supply and network cable as opposed to a power supply and network cable for each device as we've seen in other Raspberry Pi Clusters.
If you want to get your own Turing PI, check out this link (affiliate link) and get 10% off your order!! https://turingpi.com/coupon/dbtech10

In this video we'll look at How to Upgrade Chromebook Storage. Upgrading Chromebook storage is easy, but there are some caveats:
- Not all Chromebooks can be upgraded.
- Not all Chromebooks use an M.2 drive.
- Some Chromebooks may use SSDs.
- Some Chromebooks may use other sizes (in dimensions) of drives.
When you do this, you’ll lose the data on your device, so make sure you have a bootable USB before you get started in order to get your operating system of choice installed once you’ve changed out your storage drive.
The process of changing the storage in the Acer C720 Chromebook is pretty easy. Remove all the fasteners from the bottom of the device.
- Remove the bottom of the device.
- Locate the M.2 drive.
- Remove the retention fastener.
- Remove the M.2 drive.
- Install the new M.2 drive making sure that it is fully inserted.
- Install the retention fasteners.
- Replace the bottom of the Chromebook.
- Replace the fasteners to secure the bottom of the Chromebook.
Install the operating system you'd like on your Chromebook. In most cases, you'll just reinstall ChromeOS with a Chromebook Recovery USB. If you have a modified BIOS, you can install whatever operating system you'd like as long as it's compatible.
If you'd like to pick up one of these M.2 drives, you can pick up the one I got (with relatively fast shipping) over at Banggood.com.
This is my affiliate link to get the M.2 drive.

If you're like me, you like espresso. Also, if you're like me, you might not want to go to a coffee shop all the time or you might not have the money to buy a complicated espresso machine for home.
That's where the Barsetto Tripresso portable espresso cup comes in. It's roughly the same size as your current to-go coffee cup and makes it SUPER simple to have an espresso shot on the go without spending a fortune at the coffee shop.
The Tripresso lets you use your own ground coffee or Keurig-style cups and there is an attachment for each.
This is a pretty cool device to have for those times when you want to add a little kick to your day.
