The Hoodoo Gurus! Remember them? For some time in the 1980s they ruled the college radio airwaves with their retro paisley underground sound.

Caterwaulin'. If I have any particular vocal style at all, it would be a sort of controlled shouting. I can honestly point to this song as being an influence on me as a singer. I thought that it would be good to revisit it after many years. Recorded this afternoon for Season 527 of the Ukulele: John, Paul, George, and Ringo (post Beatles works.)

A sort of an on-the-set pep-talk given by a pornographer to the talent for that day, a certain nervous gal named Peggy. Shot in 1970s Porn-O-Vision. No need to worry, it is all soft focus soft porn.

The album, I Often Dream Of Trains by Robyn Hitchcock is one of the musical cornerstones of my life. That said, I don't do many of his songs because they fit so well to him and his guitar, and I play the ukulele. This song is a case in point. It relies a lot on pedaling over the low E string of the guitar. The lowest I can go is G on this particular ukulele, so I changed the key and faked my way through it as best I could.
Recorded late this afternoon for Season 449 Of the Ukulele: Falling (songs about the Fall season or tumbling down.)

The Terraplane, a car branded and built by the Hudson Motor Company in the 1930s, might only be a footnote in automotive history were it not for a song written and recorded by the legendary blues man, Robert Johnson.
This is my own take on the original, recorded this afternoon for Season 491 of the Ukulele: Songs about car models and car parts. This song qualifies on both counts!

This is the famous song by The MC5, but the cover byThe Presidents of the United States of America was my original inspiration for this. The first verse is basically from the PUSA version and the rest is inspired by current politics (November 2020.)
Recorded after work for Season 458 of the Ukulele: "If It Makes You Happy." Well, Rock and roll makes me happy, indeed!
