We're going back to Sonic Hysteria! This was a fan game that I liked before, and I found a later demo that looks fairly different from the last one. So, I thought it'd be fun to check this out again and see what has changed. Well this version is a bit shorter than last time. But don't get me wrong, it has definitely improved, with completely redone graphics for Prism Relic Zone! And this zone is quite beautiful. It's hard to say which Prism Relic is more visually appealing, the one here or the one from the earlier demo. But I think the zone in this demo wins because it has parallax scrolling, which is always a plus! The level itself is decently fun with some challenge, but nothing too difficult to get through. And it ends off on a battle with Mecha Sonic, but he doesn't put up much of a fight. Welp, nice to see him anyway lol. Overall, this demo of Sonic Hysteria is pretty good, especially the visuals. I could tell that the presentation has been upgraded. This fan game has been discontinued (as of this video, at least) but still, if you're in the mood for something short but sweet, I'd recommend this fan game! (Note: Probably should mention that there's a more recent Sonic Hysteria being developed. But the project in this video is another project entirely, older and discontinued. Sonic Triple Trouble, one of the best 8-bit Sonic games, is being remade by a fan in classic 16-bit graphics! Nack the Weasel (Fang) is set to ruin your day, and Dr. Eggman is up to his usual antics as well. Knuckles, on the other hand, is still too gullible to realize that Sonic and Tails are the good guys. The game starts out with a bang, as you defeat the Death Egg Robot with Super Sonic! But in a twist of events, Eggman gains the upper hand and the Chaos Emeralds scatter from you, rendering you powerless. Now you must get them back in order to save the world from evil once again. Speaking of emeralds, the Special Stages are super fun! Race forward in a 3D plane and catch the Chaos Emerald before Fang does. The bonus stages are a blast as well, remixing the usual slot machine trope with some pinball action. Now for the game itself, old meets new with familiar and never-before-seen zones! Great cutscenes and transitions too. As you would expect from a recent fan game, Sonic himself plays nice. The bosses here are also done well, with creative twists.
