Having tested Anlucia's new powers, saved the Scarlet Godstones, and filling the Pendulum of Fate with power once again, they returned to Sage Lushenda at Real Gran Zedora Castle. The Pendulum of Fate pointed the way to Solaria Gorge in the southeast of Rendashia, but then demonic power shattered the pendant! Afterwards, the party went to the site of Solaria Gorge. In its place, they found the Twisted, Deformed Land. They explored the four Demonic Gorges in this convoluted area and gathered treasures. They also unlocked a shortcut from the start to the finish. Now, they will return to the Twisted, Deformed Land and fight what was one of the hardest storyline bosses in the Online edition of the game. Real Gran Zedora (time 0:30): The party resumes in the church in the Kingdom of Real Gran Zedora. Outside, they Zoom to the Village Overlooking a Waterfall destination in the Real Liana Desolation. Real Liana Desolation (time 4:48): The party heads southeast from the inn. At G-6, they exit to the Twisted, Deformed Land. Twisted, Deformed Land (time 5:23): The party starts at E-8 in the south of the First Demonic Gorge. Directly to the north, they examine the gate at E-7. They take its bridge of light north to D-1/E-1 in the Fourth Demonic Gorge. After preparing their lineup, the party heads upstairs and approaches the gate to the Demon Palace for a cutscene. A powerful barrier blocks the way. Madesagora, the Great Demon King, introduces himself from afar. He intends to destroy the old world and create a new one. The erosion of the old world began when Toma destroyed the Scarlet Godstone in the Ruins of the Old God. The Great Demon King reveals a fear deep inside Heorot's heart: the shadow of Nelgel, Lord of Hades. However, Heorot's friends will stand by him to confront this fearsome shade of the past. After the scene, it is boss time against the Embodiment of Fear (恐怖の化身). The Embodiment of Fear, naturally, can act twice per round. Its big move, Chains of Fear, not only inflicts 300-400 points of damage to everyone in the lineup. It also gives the Embodiment of Fear a buff that counters physical attacks against him with paralysis. It also has Gate of the Underworld. A little less powerful, it deals about 200 damage to each party member, but it can inflict illusion and reduce attack power and magic attack by 1 level. His Demon Bullet attack can deal about 200 points of damage to a single target. His Suspicious Glance has a high chance of putting a party member to sleep. When he is enraged, his Scythe of the Underworld can deal over 1,000 points of critical damage. In the Online edition, he could summon Archdemons and Belials into the battle. I did not see that in this take of the battle, but he might still be able to do it, so be careful. "Snap, Crackle, Poof" is a good precaution to prevent party members from being blinded or put to sleep. The party should dispel his annoying Chains of Fear buff as soon as possible when he puts it on. Or Anlucia can use the Hero's Light if she has it prepared, and it will stun the Embodiment of Fear for a few precious turns. The Embodiment of Fear is extremely dangerous while enraged, so the party should dispel it as soon as possible with Attack Attacker or Lost Break. Fortunately, the Embodiment of Fear is susceptible to having his attack power lowered. Above all, bring plenty of Yggdrasil Leaves and Yggdrasil Dew to keep the party healthy during this grueling battle. At the end of the battle, the Embodiment of Fear provides a base of ca. 43,500 experience points and 22,000 gold. Another scene takes place afterwards. Surprised that the party defeated the Embodiment of Fear, Madesagora challenges Anlucia to break the barrier to his castle. For now, however, she cannot. They delivered the crown to the King of Romaria, and Davilas got to play King for a day. Then, they traveled north from Khoryv to Norvik, where almost everyone is asleep. They visited the Faerie Village west of Norvik and learned that the Faerie Queen put the people of Norvik to sleep because her daughter eloped with a Norvik boy. Now, the party will infiltrate the cave near the Faerie Village to find the Dreamstone. Aliahan: The party resumes in Aliahan Castle. They leave the castle and visit the item shop, where they pick up 40 Medicinal Herbs. Serena the Priest isn't exactly flush with MP right now, and the cave near Norvik is fairly long. The party does not have anyone with the Evac spell yet, which will make it seem even longer. Afterwards, the party Zooms to Norvik. Overworld (time 1:48): West/southwest of Norvik, the party enters the cave, named the Underground Lake in this release. Underground Lake (time 2:39): The party starts in the northwest of floor B1. Look out for Morphean Mushrooms, which can put the party to sleep with sweet breath. Also be careful of Drac the Vlads, which cast ice-elemental Crack spells. Following the path south, they take the first door west. In the room beyond, they find a chest containing ca. 288 gold. The party returns to the path and continues south. In the next room to the west, they find a priest with information about a healing spring. Serena the Priest reaches Level 12 and learns the spell Squelch. Squelch cures one ally of poison. It is helpful, but the party can carry up to 99 Antidotal Herbs in their bag, so it is not essential. The party returns to the path. After it turns east, the party takes the next turn north. They find a chest containing a phial of Holy Water. The party returns to the main path as it turns south again. They take the southern exit to a small room. Davilas the Hero reaches Level 11. Red the Thief reaches Level 13 and learns the spell Nose for Treasure. Oh, yes! This field spell tells how many treasures are remaining on a dungeon's current level. Better yet, it is free. The party goes downstairs to a corridor on B2. To the west, they continue downstairs to a doglegging corridor on B3. Just to their northwest, they find a chest containing Mini Medal #011. Farther northwest, the party goes upstairs to an L-shaped corridor on B2. To the north, they return to floor B1.
