The next two lines will keep the screen from blanking from inactivity...
xset s off & xset -dpms &
If you want the screen to blank after 10 minutes of inactivity, comment out the two lines above, and uncomment the following line...
#xset dpms 0 0 600 &
NOTE: change 600 to a larger number if you want the screen to blank after a longer period of time. Such as, to make it blank after one hour, it would be 60 x 60 = 3600. So the line would be...

In this video, I apply a suggestion (from my friend Moulder) in order to have only the applications that I want to appear in the menu(s) provided by YAD.
How to:
1. Change the YAD command to point to a different folder in your HOME folder; such as, ~/.local/share/applications
2. Copy the .desktop files from /usr/share/applications (and elsewhere) into that folder.
Example commands (using ~/.local/share/applications)...
Compact Menu
yad --read-dir=/home/dan/.local/share/applications --single-click --icons --compact --undecorated --width=280 --height=500 --mouse --close-on-unfocus --no-buttons
Full-Screen Menu
yad --read-dir=/home/dan/.local/share/applications --single-click --undecorated --width=1366 --height=740 --icons --icon-size=48 --center --close-on-unfocus --no-buttons

This has nothing to do with Linux, but I couldn't help myself. I'm not easily offended, but I find this couple (and their shameless shenanigans) to be utterly offensive.

I don't know how to give credit to the cartoon at the end...
Yosemite Sam is a Looney Tunes character...who was in Looney Tune cartoons...so I assume he and his likeness should be credited to Looney Tunes.
I may be wrong, and if I am, all that I can say is...
Bricka bracka, flippin' flappin, no good for nothin', stricka' strackin' MiyoLinux! Ooooooohhhhh...I hate him!
