Govt Shutdown goes Shutup with StopGap Vote

Did the "adults" vacate the room? or, will it just be the Speaker of the House?
Well, the House passed a budget "stopgap" bill preventing a Govt shutdown; and it is at the Senate now. All it takes is (1) one senator to stop gap this up.
But it is, assuredly, an extra 45 days to mess with this mess; while govt employees don't have to suffer without paycheck over the Holidays.
After all, did y'all think Speaker McCarthy would go down costing the taxpayers billions of dollars - needlessly? It's the same ole tactic - threaten shutdown in order to get 1 Political Party's manipulation of the whole US budget. yawn; and grrr.

Looks like the Supreme Court is revising what it will Review for Trump's claim for immunity from prosecution. The appeal, for review, from a lower court gets "reframed." i.e. "We'll look at some of the important items."
"Sitting" verses "former" president is one. "Official" verses "non-official" actions taken is the other.
Since "getting votes" is not an official duty, Trump is in trouble from an Insurrection, Jan 6th, trial as soon as this Summer. Before Nov '24 election.
