"He's our protector." Soldiers on the frontline in the eastern region of Ukraine called Donbass, which is currently under attack by Russian troops, found a little puppy and named him Rambo, after the unstoppable action hero played by Sylvester Stallone, who recently commented on the viral video in an Instagram post.
"We felt sorry for him, it was freezing outside," commented two Ukrainian soldiers in the video which was filmed in the trenches on the frontline near Bakhmut, Ukraine on February 11, 2022, just days before Putin began his assault on the country. "He can hear very well if there is a stranger nearby."
The little brave puppy obviously a major morale booster for the trench-weary soldiers, each with a big smile on their face. "He used to be so tiny, he could fit in one hand."
There were many other puppies and dogs in and around the frontline trenches, many of them with names and adopted by the soldiers.
After the invasion, we did receive an update from Rambo's soldiers, they said, "We are holding on, the soldiers are determined to hold back the enemy, and the dogs are with us."
