The stage begins with tentacles jumping around and a hatcher on the wall releasing shell drones. The next few rooms have helmets spraying pellets, and they can only be defeated if their eyes show. The next section has face drones and jumping tentacles. As you climb the ladders, watch for spikes. There are also helmets in the path along with electric barriers, so timing means everything as you go along. Descend where hatchers release shell drones and you’ll next take on heavy bouncers by pits of spikes. Descend a few sections and you’ll take on a shield sniper. Meet N by the Ferris wheel at Nimbasa City during the spring season on Friday and he will take you for a ride on the wheel explaining about a trainer from 2 years ago. He will return to his castle after the ride. Go to his castle which is underground in Victory Road and you can battle him. For his spring season team, he leads off with Politoed, which has the hidden ability called Drizzle. Politoed will use Hypnosis to put opponents to sleep and makes its moves more powerful with its Life Orb. Lanturn will use Stockpile to raise its Defense stats and Thunder to paralyze opponents. Tentacruel will use Barrier to raise its Defense stat and Rain Dance to bring back the rain. Omastar will use Earth Power to lower the target’s Special Defense stat and Rain Dance to boost its Speed with the Swift Swim ability. Kabutops will use Aqua Jet for first strikes and Stone Edge for critical hits. When Starmie switches out, the Nature Cure ability heals its status problems. Dewford Town’s gym is dark. If you defeat some trainers, the place will light up. Navigate the maze and you’ll find the gym leader. Brawly uses Fighting type Pokémon. Giving the opposing Pokémon status problems will raise their Attack stat due to having the Guts ability. Machop’s Karate Chop has a high critical hit ratio while Makuhita will use Arm Thrust to strike multiple times. After the battle, you’ll receive the Knuckle Badge and a TM08 (Bulk Up). During your post-game quest, go to the Game Freak building at Castelia City and go to the 22nd floor. This is based on the 22nd floor of the Taishido Carrot Tower located in Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan, where Game Freak’s headquarters are. Talk to Shigeki Morimoto and he will battle you, which can be done once a day. Liepard will use Fake Out to strike first and make the target flinch along with Grass Knot to more damage on heavier targets. All 3 elemental monkeys hold a Petaya Berry that boost the Special Attack stat when their HP is half below maximum. Swoobat will use Endeavor to match the target’s HP with the amount the user has left. Zebstrika will use Flame Charge to speed up and Giga Impact for big damage but will have to recharge the next turn. Make sure you have a good variety of moves for this battle.

The first room of the ghost house has Boos. Pass the door and go through a false wall to find the first Yoshi Coin. Enter the door and the next room will have a horde of Boos descending from above. Hit a block to reveal a P Switch and carry the P Switch with you by grabbing the 2nd Yoshi Coin. Press the P Switch to reveal a white door. Enter the white door and make your way around to find the 3rd Yoshi Coin. Spin jump off a Boo to find another P Switch. Press the P Switch and navigate some ? Blocks to find the next white door. Enter the white door and you’ll find the 4th Yoshi Coin. Enter the door and you’ll return to the same room where you’ll spin jump off a Boo to find the same P Switch. Hit the P Switch again and race on the ? Blocks to find another P Switch. Hit the switch and descend by the ? Blocks to retrieve the 5th Yoshi Coin. Use the door to go back to start and return to the same room where a ghost horde is. Enter the door before a false wall and you’ll exit the house to find the goal.
