#SOHi Exposing PPB's fear of the black community. FTP

I was charged with 2 counts of interfering with police while they geared up preparing to ENGAGE a group of kids most african american. I would later find out the call originated from the community center itself, and it was regarding a disturbance where the only concern of danger from the centers stand point was that the person that caused the disturbance claimed he would be back to do a "drive by". My biggest concern at the time was only for the children who called for help, who we're visibly shaken by Portland Police Bureau surrounding them and again arming themselves with military style weapons preparing to "ENGAGE". As you can see in the video my actions helped to de-escalate, and No child was hurt in the making of this video physically or emotionally.
I eventually returned to the center for an interview, and was greeted with many thank you's but because the center feared retaliation and damage to their relationship with PPB they declined to be recorded.
I would settle the case in "community court" accepting 16 total hours of community service. In exchange the charges were reduced to violations, and dropped. In retaliation Portland Police Bureau would hold my phone camera, and sd card two weeks beyond the day the case was finalized, a total of 3 months. Also during this time Multnomah County District attorneys refused to address the incident where one week earlier I was assaulted by Gateway Pharmacy owner William "Billy" Cao now referred to as a citizen #ProxySolider

On May 22 2017 I went to the Independent Police Review in order to file a complaint against ppb Officer Brown for pushing me to the ground twice, dragging me on the ground and refusing to ID himself. AND GUESS WHAT!!! UPON SUBMITTING MY COMPLIANT IT WAS DATED 5/19 AND CORRECTED BY A POST IT NOTE!!! WHICH MEANS EVERY COMPLAINT MADE 5-22 BEFORE MINE WAS GIVEN THE WRONG DATE!!!! I later had this corrected (I believe. Today i can't trust them) during the interview process. CRAZY SHIT HUH? SMH
I want to get the shots others are too afraid to take. Filming the Police and their encounters with the public via a voice for the community is something that I believe we are lacking and something I can do. With your help we will change police culture in Portland Oregon, I promise while at the same time protecting the community from bad cops.
