Mega-restaurants. Are they too big to fail? (Business)
Huge restaurants in Saigon are commonplace. They often seat several hundred people. Usually they are very open, and not very cozy. Usually good food, but atmosphere that would be strange to a Westerner.

It sometimes seems that only a coffee shop can open in the previous location of a coffee shop. It's a weird thing here in Saigon, but seems to prove out nearly every time. Rea and I don't understand how these huge coffee shops make it selling only coffee and drinks -- No food service.
Go figure.

It's amazing how fast things happen in Saigon, many buildings that were for rent do to Covid are opening up again. Hopefully the business environment will be better and they'll stay around a while. We will get around to reviewing some of the new restaurants when they open.
