Hey guys, thanks so much for coming back to watch another video. As you know I have been growing my hair out for just over 6 months and I'm using these videos as a tool to keep you all updated on how the awkward growing out process is going and vice versa as I know A LOT of you are also growing your hair out. If I'm honest, I'm really hating it again. My hair is seriously in between just being too short to tie into my bun but too long to look any good hanging down. You can do that here: https://manbunsandmanes.com/ By the way, if you haven’t already seen it, I just did a collaboration with Trav White, Greg Berzinsky, Tim Dessaint & The Long Hairs on the whole topic of handling long hair haters and after you watch this video you should go and check it out! It’s an awesome video: https://youtu.be/1YOC4-F18d8 But now for my personal take on this topic. The beginning of this video is probably an over exaggeration of how you should respond but funny nonetheless and I hope you enjoy it and see the humor lol. What I really wanted to convey on this topic is it’s not about how many witty comebacks you have for people who bag you out or how you’re “gunna show them”. It’s about having the awareness of being able to look at the bigger picture and really see what’s going on here. You see, when someone makes a judgement about you (not just about your awful looking awkward stage hair) it’s a reflection of how that person is viewing the world and what’s interesting is the way people see the world actually has a lot to do with the environment they’ve been brought up in. So basically. When someone makes a negative judgement about you, it means they’ve been conditioned by their surrounding world to see & think that whatever they are judging you for, is a bad thing. Which isn’t always true because if it was, no men would have long hair. SO it’s just about how you look at it. You need to remember this anytime someone says something negative about your appearance. As soon as you can see their judgments as a default mechanism of their conditioning as opposed to it being a personal attack on you or who you are as a person, you are able to separate yourself from the equation and their insults will just bounce right off. This is how you build true confidence. Lots of guys think that true confidence comes when you become the “King Pin” and get to a stage where nobody can defeat you, but it’s actually about building personal resilience and seeing things for what they really are and acting accordingly that will give you true power in the world. Takes practice and is probably a little deep compared to how this video starts off but this is my message for you here. Master this and you’ll get through the awkward stage no problem haha.
