Kristi Noem Destroys Her Career By Boasting About Murdering Family Dog She ‘Hated’
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem was widely seen to be at the top of Donald Trump's short list of potential VP picks up until Friday. On Friday, The Guardian published an excerpt of Noem's new book where she actually boasted about killing her family's dog that she says she "hated." The story immediately went viral, and people on the Left and Right both condemned Noem for her account of what happened - which Noem said in the book proves that she can make the tough decisions. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what happened.

South Dakota Governor Kristi Nome was ri widely seen by most to pretty much be at the very top of Donald Trump's shortlist of people to pick, to be his vice presidential candidate this year. And unfortunately for Kristi Nome on Friday, her chances of becoming Donald Trump's VP drop down to 0%, as did pretty much her hopes of continuing a career in politics. Here's what happened. The Guardian posted an excerpt of Christie No's new book, where while boasting about, you know, having the ability to make the real tough, messy decisions that other people can't make, she did it by telling the story of how she murdered the family dog. Let me read you this, and obviously this story went insane over the weekend, but here's what happened. Noam says, quote, I hated that dog. It was dangerous to anyone. She came in contact with Less than worthless as a hunting dog.

The governor said, she included the story in her political memoir to demonstrate her willingness to take on difficult, messy, and ugly tasks. And she described an attempt to teach cricket the name of the dog to hunt with other dogs. But instead, the pup ruined the trip by going out of her mind with excitement chasing all those birds and having the time of her life. Oh dear, what a horrible dog. 14 months old, went outside and was like, oh, hey, this is great. We can run around and play. And Christy Noam's like, Nope, gotta kill it. But then she goes on to tell more of the story. You know, let's be fair to the dog murderer. Uh, she then said, you know, the dog went over to her friend's chicken farm and started, uh, cricket, grabbed one chicken at a time, crunching it to death with one bite, then dropping it to attack another, like a trained assassin.

So this 14 month old puppy was going around a little overexcited, didn't know how to handle chickens, had obviously not been in contact with smaller animals and starts like biting at the chickens. 'cause you know, you were trading it to be a hunting dog for birds, right? I mean, you took it out there and it's like, let's go kill birds. And the dog was like, done. These birds are easy. They're just kind of sitting in a pen over here. But then no, says she whipped around to bite me the picture of po pure joy through her, through the entire incident. At that moment, no wrote, I realized I had to put her down. She then got her gun, took the dog down to a gravel pit and said it was not a pleasant job, but it had to be done. And after it was over, I realized another unpleasant job needed to be done. So then after killing the dog, a 14 month old dog that she says is untrainable, it's just going wild. That's bs bad dogs aren't born. They're made. And oh, the dog whipped around to bite you after it was going crazy a little bit. Yeah, it wasn't because the dog hated you, it's because the dog was all revved up with excitement. A firm no would've

Likely ended that if you had taken the time to train it properly. Not to mention the fact, before I get into this other unpleasant incident here. Uh, if you couldn't train the dog, if you were unable to, you know, get the dog to calm down, you don't have to kill it. You can find somebody else. Maybe find somebody with a little bit better temperament. Maybe this dog is not cut out to be a hunting dog, but maybe it could be a family dog, a lap dog, you know, a nice little dog that occasionally gets a couple scraps off the table. But instead you said, well, I gotta do the messy, difficult job of shooting it.
