This time, we'll look at some basic Linux commands that work on all Linux, Unix, and BSD distros, as well as on the MacOS command line. We'll look at pwd, ls, cp, mv, touch, rm, clear, and mkdir. We'll also briefly look at how to pull up the man page and info page for each command.
This time, we look at Linux disk partitioning with the GPT partitioning scheme, and we'll use the gdisk utility to do it. This is the second in our series of Linux tutorials for budding Linux administrators about the subject of Linux disk partitioning.

This Ethereum Classic airdrop scam will cause you to have your Ethereum stolen from you. I encountered this scam via an advertisement on Ethereum Classic faucet, but you might also see it advertised on other cryptocoin faucets or cryptocurrency faucets. It's a classic cryptocoin scam or cryptocurrency scam, so don't fall for it. Trust me, cybersecurity awareness is extremely important.

A root user account on somebody's Debian Linux system got compromised. The big Linux security question of the day is, how do we prevent root user account compromise? How do we prevent password cracking bots from breaking into the root account of a Linux server? What's a good Linux administrator to do?

A new kind of Trojan malware for Linux has been found on Linux devices. The infected devices are then used to launch cyber attacks on other devices. Operating system security is important, but even to have Linux security, you need to have your machines configured correctly.

In this episode, we'll look at the latest Wordpress security vulnerability, which allows evil people to deface Wordpress websites, and to perform remote code execution to take over a website. We'll also look at Wordpress security
history, and how Wordpress security problems have at times made it very easy to hack Wordpress sites. We'll wrap up by showing you how to perform Wordpress vulnerability scans on your Wordpress site. We'll use wpscan, which is available in Kali Linux and Parrot Linux, and we'll also look at Netsparker.

A security researcher has found multiple zero-day security vulnerabilities in Tizen, the Linux based application that's found on multiple Samsung appliances. These Samsung TV security vulnerabilities extend back for about the past two years, and there are some Samsung phone security problems as well. A few weeks ago, Wikileaks documents showed that the CIA can make a Samsung smart TV spy on its owners by installing malware via a USB memory stick. Now, it appears that this same type of malware can be installed via a Tizen Store app vulnerability. Note that this apparently has nothing to do with Linux kernel security, but rather with the app that was built around the Linux kernel.

This systemd security flaw, which was accidentally introduced in 2015, creates a DNS security flaw on affected systems. It works by allowing an attacker to perform a buffer overflow attack against an affected Linux system, which in turn would either crash the machine, or allow the attacker to perform a remote code execution attack. The referenced article indicates that the flaw is present on Ubuntu 16.10 and Ubuntu 17.04, but it would also be present on other Linux distros that use the affected versions of systemd. If you're a Linux administrator, you need to get these affected systems patched as soon as possible. Linux security after all, is very important.

In this Linux tutorial for beginners, we'll look at two Linux tools for viewing Linux system information. We'll use the Linux lspci command to view information about what you have connected to the pci bus, and the Linux lsusb command to view information about what you have connected to the USB bus.
Note that these two Linux commands generally show up on entry-level Linux certification exams, so you'll want to know about them for both real life and for passing your exam.
Thank you for watching another Linux administration tutorial from the BeginLinux Guru.
