A large problem the world faces today is polluted and contaminated soil from years of industrial manufacturing and spillage of harmful chemicals into our ecosystems. Did you there is is a solution to this problem?! Mushroom Mycelium to the Rescue!
Mycoremediation means the use of fungi to absorb, degrade, and decay the harmful chemicals in the soil. The end result can be healthy, compostable soil that will allow microbial life to once again live within it.
How does this work? The mushroom mycelium does a great job of breaking down complex hydrocarbons and chains of toxic molecules. Once that happens, other microorganisms come in and finish the job by breaking it down even further. The end result is clean soil.
