We leave Carbo to start our grand journey. Along the way we meet what we think is a sniveling little boy who lost his late mother's pendant and he needs someone to help him find it. We are pretty busy, but we need to clear the town of the monsters anyway. We find him and he joins with us.

In this episode our crew walks into a building (the name of which escapes me just now) and go through a labyrinth, fighting a large number of clouds and ghosts along the way. I think this might be where I started to notice how meta this game is. A bunch of the NPCs throughout the game reference real world things and talk about itself being a game. Here is an interesting oddity. While this is not the best way to get your Donkey Kong Country fix by any means, it is a very curious exercise at down-porting what was already on many levels an impressive game in it's native 16-bit hardware to the much more limited 8-bit handheld. Sprite animations, colors, sound and game play were all sacrificed to bring DKC to the Game Boy Color, but it still somehow retains much of the original experience. Play it to see an impressive technical curiosity, use the Snes to enjoy Donkey Kong Country.

I'm sure this game needs no introduction. This game blew my mind back in the day. Playing it now, I somehow notice the bad frame rate and cut resolution a lot more than I use to. Still amazing for the Snes and a very memorable experience.
In this playthrough I do the 3rd and hardest path through the game. In the future I'll release the other paths and hidden content!
