this is a very sad time for all of us fans in Major League Baseball especially for every fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers because the legendary voice of the franchise Vin Scully passed away peacefully last night in his California home
Vin was alum of Fordham University
Vin called 25 World Series, 12 All Star Games, and national televised sporting events for NBC and CBS
he was the voice of the Dodgers for 67 seasons from 1950 until 2016
and at the age of 25 Vin was the youngest broadcaster to call a World Series game
Vin received the Ford C. Frick Award and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1982, the Commissioner's Historic Achievement Award in 2014, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016
Vin survived by 5 children, 21 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren
