In Team 17's Genesis Alpha One you play the Captain of a Genesis starship that you must build, maintain and defend as you explore a procedurally generated galaxy filled with a variety of aliens that want nothing better than to stop you from achieving your objective, which is to find a new home to colonize to save humanity's DNA from extinction. The game is described as roguelike, ship building, FPS, galactic exploration, resource management and survival game.
This let's play and walkthrough series is performed on an i7/6700 Geforce 1080ti PC at max specs, but the game runs perfectly on a PC with much much lower specs than that.
My thoughts on the game? I thought I wouldn't like this game. I had no plans to play it. This didn't change in the first few minutes either. It has a slow-burn start with careful resource management and slow expansion/exploration that lulls you into a sense that the game stays that way, which I normally would hate. But it doesn't stay that way. The more hours your game goes, the more it begins to heat up into something really damn cool and exciting. Some people refer to it as No Man's Sky meets Doom. It's not quite like that, but I can see why it gets referred to as that. I think of it more as No Man's Sky light meets Aliens. I went from thinking I wouldn't like this game to being hooked after just two hours, which is why I decided to do a let's play series on it.

About the episode: I think I failed just about every possible course of action I could have taken in this chapter lol! It would appear that I don't make for a very good android fugitive!
About the game: Detroit: Become Human is a neo-noir narrative driven sci-fi thriller from Quantic Dream, the makers of Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls. The game is set in 2038 where Androids are common place in everyday life and are showing signs of behaving as if they are alive. Throughout the game you, as the player, co-write the unfolding story by making choices for the three main android-protaganists: Kara, Connor and Markus. The game, a PS4 exclusive, is visually astounding, features an awesome soundtrack, A-class acting, and makes decision making difficult through a series of moral dilemmas. Overall this game is like watching a top-tier movie where you get to decide which way the movie unfolds.

Here's is the location of "The Journey - Discovery" quest step "Path's End Located". To get to it, you must complete the first encounter of the "Pit of Heresy" as the solution is found after that encounter has completed and BEFORE the second "Chamber of Suffering" encounter.
Note that to access the Pit you must complete Eris' "The Deepening Wake" Quest.
The "Path's End Located" quest step is the second last part of a multi-stage quest to get the Xenophage Exotic machine gun. Prior steps are shown below:
ALL STEPS IN "THE JOURNEY" QUEST TO GET THE XENOPHAGE EXOTIC MACHINE GUN:
1. How to Start the Xenophage Exotic Quest (Obtain "The Journey" Emergence Quest Step)

4. Complete Eris' "The Deepening Wake" quest. This unlocks the "Pit of Heresy". This one doesn't need a guide, you'll work it out just fine without one. All you have to do is pick up the quest from Eris, defeat the "Nightmare of Phogoth, the Untamed" in the Altars of Sorrow public event in Sorrow's Harbor on the Moon and open the chest he drops.
5. The Journey - Descent - Path Uncovered Location

Here's my boss fight against General Janus in Hyperstrange's first-person melee game, Elderborn.
This is a no damage fight on "Hard AF difficulty" - the hardest difficulty in the game.
Best weapon to use is either the Spear or the Sickles as they have the parry attribute. Parrying Janus is relatively simple, even on Hard AF difficulty, which makes most of this fight a game of patiently waiting for his attacks.
Most of his attacks can be parried, which then allow you to get 2 or 3 hits safely. Immediately dash backwards to safety as he will counter with a leg kick. You can't parry his kick, so you always want to avoid it.
Midway through the fight he'll enter a new phase where he gets more aggressive and leaps at you. I think his first big leap is unparryable. Best to just dash left or right to avoid the hit. His follow up swipes can be parried, though it took me a moment in this fight to realize that was the case.
Another good attack is the "Charge" attack. You can unlock the charge attack in the Might skill tree. Charging him from a distance interrupts his attacks and momentarily stuns him. You can usually get in 1 hit after a charge, though sometimes it's better just to retreat if you're trying to no damage as he will retaliate with a kick very quickly.
My skill upgrades in this fight were:
Might - 5
Sped - 7
Resilience - 5
Not sure if that is low or high for this stage of the game, but I doubt it matters. This fight is more about timing than upgrades, though having the Charge skill and having a little more speed and damage obviously doesn't hurt.
Reward for defeating him is the Janus Sword, which is a heavy weapon. Like other heavy weapons it can block most attacks but is incapable of parrying.

More play with auto-lock on turned off. I found it less fiddly this time around, so I'm getting used to it. Enjoyed the boss fight at the end of this too! Still pondering a different build that doesn't use ranged weapons.
