Quick tip #1 How to protect wood posts you are putting in the ground.
This is how we protect any wood post we are putting in the ground. Use a quality sealer to coat the bottom of the post that you are putting in the ground and this will help protect it from moisture. Another tip is check the mistinted paints at Lowes or Home Depot for wood sealer you can usually pick it up for $5 to $10 a gallon instead of $40. This is how we do it and you can too.

In this video we talk about our Plum berry bushes ( Beach Plum) are in full bloom. There are hundreds of bees feeding on their beautiful sweet smelling blooms. Plum berries are sweeter than regular plums and only grow to about 1 inch in diameter. They are great for jellies and jams or just as a snack. Plum berries are quick growers and multiply fast. They are easy to grow and are great for edible landscaping, just make sure you give them plenty of room.

Something you have to remember, there is caffeine in your coffee grounds. Caffeine is produced by the coffee plant and works as an allelopathy – Allelopathy is a biological phenomenon by which an plant (organism) produces one or more biochemicals that influence the germination, growth, survival, and reproduction of other plants (organisms). So this means it can inhibit growth of a plant and prevent seeds from sprouting. This is why we compost our coffee grounds. The good news is it takes a large quantity of coffee grounds to do this. We will continue to compost ours and use them on all our berry bushes, fruit trees and our garden.
