I've owned a Rode Wireless Go microphone system for a few years and its great. I've uploaded a video about mine, link below. I noticed though if you press the DB button on power up the background of the LCD will appear white instead of the usual dark screen. Pressing the DB button on power up again it will revert back to the dark background. I only mention it as there is no documented info on this function, not a least any I could find!
*Full disclosure. Some of the links above may earn a few pennies for the channel at absolutely no cost to yourself. Thanks for watching. * ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bn8Rj_x2yyc
Ryobi seem to have an annual event that when you buy a "starter kit" (device, charger and a battery) you are able to get a free gift from them. Well this year I took advantage of this deal as I was in need of a leaf blower for the workshop. Also, during this past year I have had the need for a short reach hedge trimmer. So thats what I bought, a hedge trimmer and claimed the free gift of a leaf blower. All in all I'm up a bit on the deal. The starter kit is what I wouldn't have bought normally, I would have got the bare machine and used my existing charger and battery selection but like I say this deal was in my favour. In the video you see me unboxing the trimmer. The function test may come next year when things need a trim!

If you've been watching my videos you would have noticed I have a Land Rover Defender TD5. I've fitted deployable side steps to it a few months ago and up until a few days ago everything was fine.
Well now it's not.
It looks as if , no hang on, why not watch the video and I'll explain what I found?

I own a couple of Evolution circular saws and generally cut metal with them. The cut is usually great but I find the blade life is short even following Evolutions advice on how to approach the metal with the blade. Also there are some size limitations.
Hopefully I can reduce these issues with the purchase of my new Axminster MCB1155HD metal band saw.
In the video I run a few piece of metal and nylon through it and explain how I think it should be setup and run. Remember this is the first bandsaw I have owned so I'm still learning!

This is a quick review of a double headed clip on microphone I bought for my iPhone 7+. It has a lightning connector so it plugs straight into the phone. My thoughts; it does improve sound quality but does tether you to the phone. Just remember to unclip before you wander off or else you'll be dragging your phone across the floor! The price has increased since I bought it by the way.

I bought a GoPro Hero8 black camera and some add on accessory’s to help me with the videos on my channel. In the video I explain what I have bought and show “what’s in the boxes” but this is by no means a review of the GoPro as so many people have already done an excellent job of that.
When I ordered the GoPro direct from GoPro they upgraded the memory card to 64gb. That was nice.

I recently obtain a second bench grinder. It needed a bit of a love and a replacement sanding belt and grinding wheel. These I swapped, what I didn’t get with the grinder was more space in my garage, which is in short supply! So, what I did was to make a swivel arm which bolted to my existing pedestal stand of my original grinder. All the parts were from scrap I already have. Some bits had to be machined on the lathe but all in all it was a quick, satisfying project costing nothing apart from my time.

In a bid to tidy the front garden a tad the Wife decided I was going to build 2 oak sleeper tubs out of railway sleepers so we could plant a few bits and pieces! The video describes what I did and shows the finished results. All in all I’m very pleased with how it went.
