I hate to do this because it's been 2 months since my last video. I did try to create a video for you this month, but per my Doc, I am unable to continue and have to take it easy for at least 2 weeks. Please don't worry. I'm okay, healthy and will be back at it next month.
Hey Everyone!
It's been awhile, but I am back! Back with smaller projects, because I still have no access to my power tools. After the move, we've had so much going on and still have not finished unpacking. So everything from the last trip is still in the garage. We need a shed BAD. Once we get everything squared away, I will be able to do better builds for you. What I have planned for the next few months are a Farmhouse Dining table, upholstered bench, coffee table and more. So wish me luck and please enjoy this garden build.
The house has an amazing yard and I want to keep it that way. So, while looking around on Pinterest, I came across this Obelisk. All the ones I saw were like 8 ft tall, all the way down to 4 ft. The one I built for you today is 6 ft tall. I also added a solar light to the top, which is optional. If you would like to try this your self (no power tools needed) the cut list and materials are below. Have fun with this project and make it your own!
MATERIALS:
4- 2 X 2 X 8 ft Pressure Treated Wood
3- 1 X 2 X 8 ft Pressure Treated wood
Exterior Wood Glue
Galvanized 1 in wood screws or you can use Galvanized 1 in crown staples like I used. (wood screws would be more secure, I couldn't find mine)
4 - 2.5 in exterior wood screws
Pull Saw
Clamps
Level/Square
Tape Measure and Pencil
(always use best safety practices when building)
CUT LIST
cut (4) 2 X 2's to 6 ft (72ins)
cut (3) 1 X 2's 2@ 5 in, 2@ 6.5 in, 4@ 8 in, 4@ 10 in, 4@ 12 in, 4@ 15 ins
For the Rungs. I measured 11 inches from the top and made my mark. then @ 22 in, 33 in, 44 in and last at 56 in.

Hey Everyone!
This year, I'm having to relocate and rethink my garden. I've always wanted a fancy garden, but never really wanted to spend the money on buying things to make my garden all fancy like you see on Pinterest. but since I now know how to build things. I'm going to make it happen!
First I wanted to build a planting stations. A place I can keep all of my pots and tools. This way, everything will be at my fingertips and I wont have to get my shop dirty with all the dirt that I'm going to drop on the ground. (shops messy already)
This 2x4 VERY EASY planting station was made with only 7 2x4s. Nothing wasted. The top and storage shelf was made with Cedar pickets (6). which are super cheap and easy to replace if anything happens. The 2x2's (2) I used was just for decoration and is optional. You can paint, leave natural or stain this piece. I chose to stain mine, since I'm making this garden fancy!
I hope you enjoy this video. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Like I said, this was a super simple build and I hope you can build your own! Power tools are not needed if you have a little elbow grease, but it is way faster, this was a weekend build. I could have only taken a day, but with all the rain we had. I turned it into 2. Again, I hope you enjoy. Thank you for watching and being here! Please Like, Share and Subscribe if you haven't already!

Hey Everyone!
For spring and gardening season, I decided to make a new garden tote out of leftover scrap wood I had. This was an easy build, if you don't count the wire mesh I used. But once I stepped back and took my time to figure out how to attach it, the easier it will be the next time I make one.
I made this without knowing how I was going to do it, but I knew I wanted to use the wire mesh I had laying around. Once I found the scraps I was going to use, the vision of a shopping basket came to mind. I think it turned out absolutely amazing! So nice that, I kinda don't want to use it in my garden.
If you would like to make this exact tote and have any questions, please leave them down in the comments and I will be happy to help. This tote is very versatile and you could make this any size that you would like. I think this is a perfect size for my garden and can't wait to use it when I harvest all my veggies!
As always, thank you for being here and thank you for watching! Please like, share, subscribe and hit that notification bell for future videos!
Cheers! M

Hey Everyone!
As you can tell...this is NOT a normal video but I enjoyed making it for you. And as my channel name says, this is the And More part of the Traveling Crane. I wanted to add cooking video's to my channel but did not want to make too many, so these videos will be few and far between.
I give my dad credit for everything, and I'm giving him credit for teaching me this skill. I probably paid more attention in the kitchen then I did in the wood shop. Cooking is a skill and I happy that I paid attention like I did. Baking cakes, cookies, pies, etc. is probably my favorite (I see a humming bird cake in the future :) ), but meals like breakfast and dinner are an everyday thing for me and I like to try different recipes. This is one of those recipes. I came across this on Pinterest and I am sure their are plenty of recipes like this one out there. I did tweak the recipe by adding chicken,. Now this is a staple in my household.
With that said. I hope you enjoyed this video and if you try it out, please let me know what you think below in the comments. Thank you watching, thank you for the support and if you are feeling up to it, help out with gas prices and send a super thanks!

Wild Rice & Mushroom Soup
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups Cooked Chicken (shredded) *
2-3 Carrots diced
2-3 Celery diced
1 medium Onion diced
1 lb or 2 packages of Cremini Mushrooms*
2 cloves Garlic (minced)
6 cups Low Sodium Chicken Broth*
1 1/2 cup Wild Rice*
4 tbsp Butter (divided)
1 cup Milk or Cream*
1 cup Parmigiano Reggiano
salt & pepper to taste*
* I used 2 chicken breast cooked in my air fryer. You can also use a rotisserie chicken that has been shredded. I love cremini mushrooms, but you can use baby bella's if you want or even button mushrooms. For the Wild rice, if you don't have any, you can use regular white rice. This will work just as well. My wild rice is a combination of Basmati brown rice, soft white wheat, Rye berries & wild rice. What ever rice you use, will determine your cooking time. My blend calls for 45mins. If you use heavy cream, your soup will be creamier. I used salted butter, but low sodium broth. So I didn't really need to add anymore salt to the soup. Be careful you don't over salt the soup.
directions
1. Melt the butter in a pan over medium-high heat, add the mushrooms and cook until the mushrooms have released their liquids and the liquid has evaporated, about 10-15 minutes, before setting aside.
2. Melt the butter in the pan, add the onions, carrots, celery and garlic. add salt and pepper and cooking until onions are translucent.
3. Add the broth, rice, chicken and mushrooms, bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer, covered, until the rice is tender, about 45 minutes.
4. Mix in the milk and cheese and cook until the cheese has melted, before seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

This is a YT short on how I made my Pumpkin Goblins. The foam pumpkins are from my local craft store and everything else can from Lowes. Don't need too many tools to do this, but will warn you that when you are carving the foam pumpkins it will make a mess. Hope you enjoy this fun DIY
