I wanted to go back to something I used to jam all the time back in the day. I love "The Fall Of Ideals" and this was a killer song to kick it off. So here is my vocal cover of This Calling by All That Remains

Some of you have been asking for more original music, so here it is! My newest single featuring the musical stylings of Mats Aust. Mats recorded the instrumental and sent it my way to write and record vocals. Mats then won the right to use his mix for the release and got his good friend Lasse to create artwork and a video for it. This was a lot of fun to work on and I hope you enjoy it.
Shout out to Lasse Reinhold for making the video!

Lyrics
Break the silence, bring yourself back from the fray
forge what you will but don’t let it waste
Oh spontaneous uncertainty explode and serenade me
It clouds over me, distorting every thought and action that could ever be
Despite all my foleys, regardless of this self-inflicted stain
It was all worthless, it didn't bring any recourse
A thousand souls are screaming feeding my remorse
Oh it's so sweet, so sweet to be, so sweet to be consumed by everything
You needed to believe your fate. You helped to let it in and recreate
Your faults your follies, but please don't go astray
Collide atoms to create your way
Or be consumed by me, by the darkness you leave in your wake
Overloading your sense, to see past your insight, the only thing remaining are the ashes left behind
As they feed on your grief and despair, feed on your grief and despair
Push on to find your way, ignite the flame
As they feed on your grief, feed on your despair.
Don't let it overload your sense to see past your insight
Leave here to burn, left to die
Left to die
Now
Overloading my sense to see past my insight
The only thing remaining are the ashes left behind
Left behind

Throughout my years as a musician and recording engineer, I have made many mistakes, and I have watched many new bands make the same mistakes. I want to help newer bands that are starting out make the best use of their time, and reduce stress while working together. The music industry has changed drastically, and the rules and methods of the 80s and 90s no longer work.

If we have looked through the history of the bands that have made impacts throughout their years, you generally come to learn that their respective music scenes are what helped propel them to the forefront. The question is then, to what extent do bands have an effect on their local scenes? I dive into this topic in this video.

(Reuploaded with the song from 3min to 6 mins brought down)
What is a DAW? What do they do and why is it handy to have someone in your band who can run the basics of a DAW? Not only am I going to try to answer these questions, but I am also going to show you how to run the basic features of my personal DAW of choice “Reaper”.
If you are wanting to get started with a Free DAW you can download Calkwalk by Bandlab for free, or you can download a full version of Reaper for free. Or get both to see which one you prefer.
