Deputy Mayor Cllr Jim Rogerson 21.6.20
Speaking as a businessman of 43 years and not as a spokesperson for Ribble Valley Borough council. Deputy Mayor Jim Rogerson, 62 recorded this on the 2nd June 2020 to express his concerns for the public during the Covid19 crisis.
He talks about the negative reporting by news media organisation who he believes are not reporting positive messages. He also discusses school closures, herd immunity, vaccination, data harvesting with contact tracing apps and the “new normal”. He hopes to see more positive messages in the media that allay peoples fears and encourage a return to normal life.

Jim says:
“Besides being a Councillor I have had my own business since 1977 nearly 43 years giving me a vast amount of knowledge gained in the university of life. I have Traveled a lot throughout this country and constantly have to solve problems on a daily basis using logic and common sense. It’s by this use of common sense, I started to question the narrative being portrayed as i felt we were not being told the truth. The fact I have gained this knowledge and experience is more important than being a Councillor or the deputy mayor, that latter matter is what makes me want to challenge the narrative and encourage the public to do their own research so they can draw their own conclusion. I am not trying to get publicity from being a Councillor or the deputy mayor.
The more I see and reflect on what is going on it’s totally apparent we do not live in a free democracy anymore.
