Here's Why Paris Hilton Isn't The Inventor Of The 'Selfie'
It is one of those things that we can’t help but admit have taken the world by storm, literally overnight! Selfies grace the phone of every single person with a camera phone on this planet - even babies know how to make selfies these days!
A few days ago, used-to-be-socialite-turned-DJ Paris Hilton made a public claim on Twitter that she is the Queen of Selfies and that she, in fact, invented the selfie. What?! Apparently, Paris took a selfie with Britney Spears 11 years ago, in the Playboy Club in Palms Hotel in Las Vegas. When asked about it in an interview for the Today show in Australia, Paris says that she didn’t mean she actually invented it, but more like that it was the first “selfie" she ever took.

Even Frank Sinatra took a few mirror selfies when he was a kid! There are even photographic evidence of selfies way before Sinatra. Vincent Van Gogh painted some 30 self-portraits between 1886 and 1889. Rembrandt before him painted over 100 “selfies" between 1628 and 1669.

Some foods were never meant to be on the same plate together, So how did some modern-age, stomach-turning recipes come to be? Blame it on the history!
Dinner between the 1950s to the 1970s had tons of strange food like salads encased in Jell-O, but what was the big idea behind all this weird food? War and money!
Starting in the Middle Ages chefs practiced the art of subtleties, the process of arranging food to give it a different appearance. Such as a dip resembling a fish or a dessert made to look like a castle. These dishes were all about presentation and not so much about taste. It showed you were wealthy enough to waste food and pay someone to prepare the dish.
Jump ahead to WWII when soldiers were forced to eat processed foods like SPAM. When they came back they were used to canned foods and ingredients. Since many wives had joined the workforce, they weren’t cooking as much anymore. Forcing them to rely more on processed foods.
Meals had to be simple and easy, but a little preparation time was okay. Brands like Jell-O, SPAM and Hellmann’s invented crazy recipes for busy wives. These strange creations were a throwback to the subtleties trend of the Middle Ages and became hugely popular in kitchens throughout the 50s, 60s, and 70s.
Knowing these facts it really makes you appreciate mom’s meatloaf, doesn’t it?

Ike Catcher is the former Mr Vienna who has made Muscle Beach his second home, living just a stone's throw away. Ike is as ripped as any bodybuilder out there, but there’s not many guys his size who do calisthenics. Ike describes himself as a “Muscle Beach legend. I'm 6ft 9, and 270 pounds. I’m one of the biggest guys in the world to do the things I do." For that reason Ike has been dubbed by some as the 'biggest man on the bars', for his impressive calisthenics routines. With the famous Muscle Beach gym currently closed due to COVID19, Ike like so many others has had to adapt his gym routine. Ike loves to train down on the beach, and whenever he does he usually attracts a crowd of people. Today Ike is meeting up with his “training bae” Lexie, to work up a sweat before attempting his challenge. The pair go through a bodyweight workout, using each other for added weight and Ike can’t resist the opportunity to show off his signature move of shoulder pressing Lexie above his head. Ike trains seven days a week and keeps his impressive body guessing, mixing up traditional bodybuilding with his love for calisthenics and yoga. Always keen to push himself to the limits, Ike has set himself a challenge of 40 muscle ups in 10 minutes, which is no mean feat for a guy his size.

Prabhulal, who is currently doing a Masters in Commerce at Madurai Kamaraj University, is the only member of his family to have this rare condition. The moles now cover over half his face, having been growing and increasing in size with age. Some of these moles are located in his right ear and their expansion has caused him to go deaf on that side. To help clear up the moles and reduce their growth, Prabhulal has tried modern medicines, as well as alternative techniques, but unfortunately neither have had much success. He now hopes to try plastic surgery as an option. However the vast size of the moles presents a certain degree of difficulty to the doctors. The solution therefore is to attempt a small section first and go from there. As a young boy, Prabhulal was shy and avoided going out because of his appearance. However, with the help of his mother, Bindhu, he came to accept who he is. Prabhulal is now proud of his difference and seeks to inspire others on social media.
