Saffron City has a Fighting Dojo next door left from the gym where you can battle some Black Belts. After defeating the Black Belts, you’ll take on the Karate Master. Hitmonlee will use Foresight to make Ghost types vulnerable and Hi Jump Kick for big damage but hurts the user if it misses. Hitmonchan will use Sky Uppercut on those who try to use Fly and all 3 elemental punching moves. After the battle, you can choose any of the 2 Poké Balls backstage. One holds Hitmonlee and the other holds Hitmonchan. You can only choose one so pick the one you want best.

At the start, fighter planes are everywhere, releasing pellets. Scale the mountain and you’ll see planes dropping rocks along with snowboarders going down the mountain. You’ll next take on the most elite aircraft. This plane is incredibly quick and will release multiple pellets just as it prepares to move about. Defeat this plane and you’ll next battle against the Iron Vulture. Be sure to watch for saw planes, falling rockets, and planes that release pellets as you take on this massive shop. First, aim for the propellers, and then go for the booster engine. After defeating this behemoth, you have completed the game.

In Area 1, you’ll see 3 toolboxes and cross lava with a platform. At the next landing, go down the pipe. In Area 2, you’ll see Buzzy Beetles and Paratroopas. Hit an invisible block by a pipe by a platform so you can reach it and go through. In Area 3, fish will be jumping by. Cross a small pit of lava and enter the pipe. In Area 4, you’ll be underwater. Pass some Bloopers and fire bars to use the pipe at the dead end. In Area 5, pass a Hammer Bro and jump over a lava pit. With fire incoming, you’ll reach the drawbridge to battle Bowser one more time. Bowser will throw hammers and shoot fire. Touch the axe to drop the bridge and you’ll rescue the princess to finish your adventure.

The stage begins over sinking sand with scorpions and flies attacking. If you see an opening, use the Rush Coil to jump to the other side and take the straight path ahead. Keep going ahead and you’ll find a special item that forms balloons. You’ll then be warped to a room where bats fly. Use the clown platforms to cross over spikes. Some spots have mummies that do the old Simon Belmont whip and release their heads. Continue ahead and you’ll open the gates to take on Pharaoh Man. The boss attacks by throwing big balls of energy. Use the Flash Stopper to stun the boss and keep shooting away to finish it. After the battle, you’ll receive the Pharaoh Shot weapon.

When it health is depleted mostly, it will let out a breath to blow one fighter away from battle, but the warrior girl will step into the frame and try to finish out the duel. Humbaba is weak against poison spells, so let the berserk girl cast upon to finish it off. After Humbaba is finished, the children will come outside, only to see that the girl is still berserk. The girl will then leave since the war is still intact, and the children will have to take care of the village themselves.

Grimsley has a full team of Dark type Pokémon. New to his team are Honchkrow and Houndoom. Honchkrow will use Haze to eliminate all stat changes and Night Slash for critical hits alongside with the Super Luck ability. Houndoom will use Thunder Fang to paralyze targets and Sludge Bomb to poison other targets. The other opponents are the same as the previous battle. A move like Brick Break works best for this round.

This requires a Mystic Ticket that can be obtained via Nintendo Event. With the Mystic Ticket, go to the harbor at Vermilion City and you’ll ride to Navel Rock. At Navel Rock, go to the fork room and turn left at the top of the room. Go up some floors and make your way to the mountaintop. Save your game before you approach. Ho-Oh is on Level 70. It has a combo of Sunny Day and Fire Blast. It will use Recover when running low on HP. Paralyze Ho-Oh and keep throwing Ultra Balls. If Ho-Oh reaches Level 77, it will learn its signature move called Sacred Fire, which thaws the user out when frozen and has a 50% chance of burning the target.
