The corresponding emotion of the thought is based on the belief of the thought. When I catch my mind wandering into states of thinking based in negative emotions, I STOP. I begin focusing on my breath to bring be back to a place where I can see the thoughts ... I'm the witness. I can then CHOOSE to participate and believe in the non-sense I'm telling myself or change my thinking which changes how I'm experiencing the next moment . . .and the moment after that . . . and the moment after that.
