Bridges continue to be a hot target for smart contract exploits. In 2022 alone, bridge hacks lead to $1.6B in value lost (as measured at the times of the hacks). We enumerated bridge exploits that occurred in 2022, described the attack flow as well as the root causes. Next, we classified them in accordance with the design and exploit framework introduced in our earlier research.
