I know a lot of HVAC tecs would cringe at the sight of this system, but since i saved it from being destroyed and loosing its charge of R22 to the environment, at the local scrap yard, I feel its quite acceptable to give new life to these old machines, and eventually get the gas recovered professionally, instead of blasted into the atmosphere.
Basically its a 6.1 Kw Mitsubishi condensing unit, who's main control board was fried, rigged to run off a conventional thermostat and solid state relay. the indoor ceiling cassette is from a similar size Fujitsu system, also suffering from main PCB failure. I've set the evaporator fan to run at full power only, since its variable speed drive was burnt.
Still got a long way to go to make it look and run more respectable, but at lest its good relief from this damn heatwave we are experiencing here in Australia.
