In this video, I explore options on how to transfer old Digital8 footage over to a file format using a new Windows 10 machine. The IEEE 1394 interface can be hooked up to most DVD recorders, but I try out the LinksTek PCIE FireWire Card.
The footage was shot on a Sony DCR-TRV103 Digital 8 camcorder (that no longer functions). Playback was on a different DCR-TRV103 that was purchased used at a later date. The footage I demonstrate was shot in the stands at the Chevy 500 Indy Car Race at Texas Motor Speedway on September 15, 2002.
