It was a busy Friday as I ran to do a few errands before heading out of town. Come with me for a walk and a look at the pretty colors.

PenguinSix is an apolitical guy in a political town who likes to walk a lot. He has hiked over 17,000 miles (27,000kms) in the past six years and is still walking today. He is an American expat who spent the last decade in Hong Kong with his family and is now back in Washington DC, continuing his daily ritual of taking very long hikes around the city catching the sights and sounds of the city while live streaming to share with others. History, culture, life as an expat (with reverse culture shock), and the pitiful Chinese food in Washington DC are regular topics of discussion. It was too hot during the day (and not much going on) so I decided to ride around and try to catch a breeze. I did manage to see the US Capitol scaffolding starting to come down, but other than that just kind of a touristy ride around the city.

Hiking, hiking and more hiking in Hong Kong. Vlog #94 sees me on the Peak as we prepare for more storms, and we take the drone out during a brief interuptions of blue skies over the city.

Biden made an unannounced trip to Walter Reed / Bethesda Naval for an annual physical today, and I managed to catch the return of the helicopters in the pouring rain. I then got in trouble with my wife for not being there while she was doing an errand in the rain, so it's off to Georgetown Cupcake to help sweeten things over with my sweetie.

Started the day at the White House with the Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar coming for a bilateral meeting in the Oval Office. Then it was off to Capitol Hill where the Speaker hosted and Irish American Friendship event, then it was back to the White House where Biden took some questions before boarding Marine One, including one about Hunter's connections to China.
And as always, I take you behind the scenes to all of this.
Transcript of Biden's press chat.
Q: Could you give us your reaction to the International Criminal Court issuing an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin?
A: “Well, I think it's justified. But the question is, it’s not recognized internationally by us, either. But I think it makes a very strong point."
Q: Are you confident the bank crisis has calmed down?
A: “Yes.”
Q: Reaction to President Putin meeting with President Xi next week?
A: “Well, we'll see when that meeting takes place."
Q: Asked about House GOP memo about China-linked payments to his family members.
A: “That’s not true.”
Q: Asked about Putin and whether he should be tried for war crimes in Ukraine.
A: “He’s clearly committed war crimes.”

Today started much like many other days, with motorcades and Marine One (and Firetrucks) but no Air Force One. After all that excitedment I decided to go a bit off-road and through the autumn #foiliage in the woods to Hillary and Bill Clinton's Washington DC home. I hiked past that and many other mansions in the fancy areas around the Vice President's House before ending up at the Cathedral, once again.

It's the day before the annual March of Life march and protest and we found a few abortion protestors outside of a clinic in NE Washington D.C. I also managed to film Marine One lifting from the White House (but POTUS came out the center door so couldn't see him) and I found some right-wing graffiti tagged to a bridge near Obama / Clinton / VP's houses.
