Cambodia Sound Collage 12: View from The Hotel Chhaya Battambang - Time Lapse - Shukhurchi Style
A hypnotic time-lapse from Battambang, Cambodia set to surreal sound. The sound collage was made in Kyma 7 and is composed of field recordings from Cambodia that I captured while I was there in 2014.

A granular synthesis-based soundscape using live-input from a stereo pair of LOM Uši Pro microphones. The mics are secured in magnetic clips and placed on a SCM STERLING typewriter. The input from the mics is being recorded into RAM and transmogrified in real-time using Symbolic Sound's Kyma.
Headphones recommended.

Yerevan, Armenia city ambience with quiet piano music. Both the audio and video were recorded on location in the center of Yerevan, Armenia, on a rooftop, during spring 2020.
The audio has been encoded for binaural which means it is only properly heard on headphones. Therefore, if possible, please wear headphones for the proper binaural listening experience.
The piano music is a piece written by Tim Dickson Jr. and it is called 'being not or to.' I re-amped the piece and re-recorded it in binaural, then mixed it with the original cityscape of Yerevan. What results from this technique is the feeling that the piano is being played on the rooftop.
