As we headed toward Ghunsa, we heard rumors of hot showers, coffee shops and delicious cakes. We spent an extra day there to acclimatize and did a quick side trek to a viewpoint above the valley. We also took a stroll to a tall waterfall on the outskirts of the town. The cakes were ok but the momos were GREAT! Alas, there was no hot shower to be had due to a recent power outage. This video details days 5 through 7 of our Kangchenjunga Circuit Trek in Nepal. One of the best treks in Nepal, the Kangchenjunga Circuit travels to the North and South Base Camps of the third highest mountain in the world. You also cross 3 stunning mountain passes between the two sections of trail that connect the base camp trails. Anyone serious about seeing the real Nepal should definitely do this trek.
