Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles (2013)

The ability to be charming and remarkably offensive at the same time is the cornerstone of Sarah Silverman's career, and she certainly hasn't lost her magic touch judging from her second comedy album, 2014's We Are Miracles.
While Silverman's delivery has a likably casual, conversational tone that's winning and surprisingly sweet, her character - a self-obsessed woman who seems utterly unaware of how awful her statements often are, especially when she imagines she's being thoughtful or insightful - is clearly the result of a great deal of careful effort, and on We Are Miracles, Silverman takes profound joy in steering the audience into the wall just when it seems like the lovely potty-mouth on-stage has actually produced an idea worth pondering. So a speech on the false divisions in America's political culture leads to the messy realities of the typical sex scandal, a spirited feminist rant about issues of female body image evolves into a punch line about Silverman's less than ideal hygiene, and semi-profound thoughts about our place in the universe detour into an uncomfortable contemplation of her father's genitals.
On We Are Miracles, Silverman's skills as a performer are excellent, even when her material is not quite up to the level of her first LP, Jesus Is Magic (which, like this album, was actually the soundtrack to a visual record of her standup work - Jesus Is Magic was produced as a concert film, and We Are Miracles was drawn from an HBO special that premiered in November 2014, with Silverman occasionally mentioning the cable outlet in her act).
That says a lot about Silverman as a standup comic - even when she isn't delivering laughs (or wildly inappropriate remarks about her parents, her body, or her pets), she's interesting and fun to listen to. Which is good, because there are plenty of moments on We Are Miracles where you might wonder if you're supposed to laugh or just gasp in dropped-jaw shock.

Flight of the Conchords is an American sitcom that was first shown on HBO on June 17, 2007. The show follows the adventures of Flight of the Conchords, a two-man band from New Zealand ("New Zealand's fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo"), as its members seek fame and success in New York City.
The show stars the real-life duo of Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie, who play fictionalized versions of themselves.
Throughout its two-season run, Flight of the Conchords received positive critical reception, with its second season scoring 80/100 on Metacritic. The show received 10 Emmy Award nominations, including "Outstanding Comedy Series" and "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series" for Jemaine Clement, both in 2009.
The music they played in the epidoses is way funny, and was highly acclaimed as well.

The Sarah Silverman Program is an American television sitcom, which ran from February 1, 2007 to April 15, 2010 on Comedy Central starring comedian and actress Sarah Silverman, who created the series with Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab.
The Sarah Silverman Program faced cancellation in 2009 when Comedy Central and the producers were unable to reach an agreement for the show's per-episode budget. LGBT-interest cable channel Logo stepped in to co-produce the third season.
Premise
Episodes revolve around the adventures of Sarah and her friends in Valley Village, California, a district in the San Fernando Valley portion of Los Angeles that is portrayed as an autonomous city within the show. Silverman plays a fictionalized version of herself, a single, unemployed woman who leads an irresponsible life. Her most notable trait is her undiluted, childlike self-absorption, which commonly leads to awkward comedic situations in which she insults friends, family, and total strangers.
Reception
The show's premiere drew impressive ratings, 1.8 million total viewers and 1.3 with the 18–49 demographic, making it "cable's biggest audience of the night." The show had the single best debut ratings "for a Comedy Central original since the premiere of the animated series Drawn Together (2.2 million viewers) in 2004."
The show also drew positive reviews. Tim Goodman of the San Francisco Chronicle, said that the show was "bursting with imagination, audacity, rude charm, and a relentlessly funny worldview" and called the show "an offbeat gem." Doug Elfman of The Chicago Sun-Times called the show "a live-action comedy as funny as Chappelle's Show.
Soundtrack
A soundtrack album was released on March 2, 2010 titled "From Our Rears to Your Ears". It contains 99 tracks from the show's three seasons.

Stephen-King's-The-Stand---Part-3---The-Betrayal
"The Stand", alternatively known as "Stephen King's The Stand", is a 1994 American television post-apocalyptic miniseries based on the 1978 novel of the same name by Stephen King.
King also wrote the teleplay and has a minor role in the series. It was directed by Mick Garris, who previously directed the original King screenplay/film Sleepwalkers (1992).
In order to satisfy expectations from King fans and King himself, The Stand is a mostly faithful adaptation to the original book, with only minor changes to material that would otherwise have not met broadcast standards and practices, and in order to keep ABC content.
The Stand includes a cast of more than 125 speaking roles and features Gary Sinise, Miguel Ferrer, Rob Lowe, Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee, Jamey Sheridan, Laura San Giacomo, Molly Ringwald, Corin Nemec, Adam Storke, Ray Walston, Ed Harris, and Matt Frewer.
The miniseries was shot in several locations and on 225 sets. Each episode was given a $6 million budget so to reduce cost, the miniseries was shot on 16mm film.
The Stand originally aired on ABC from May 8 to May 12, 1994. Reviews were positive and the miniseries was nominated for six Primetime Emmy Awards, winning two for its makeup and sound mixing.

The Last Days of Lehman Brothers is a British television film, first broadcast on BBC Two and BBC HD on Wednesday 9 September 2009.
Filmed in London, it was written by Craig Warner and directed by Michael Samuels.
It was shown as part of the BBC's "Aftershock" season, a selection of programmes marking the first anniversary of the collapse of the American investment bank Lehman Brothers in the great market crash of 2008.
The film features James Cromwell, Ben Daniels, Corey Johnson, Michael Landes and James Bolam.
The Last Days of Lehman Brothers summarizes the events that occurred over the weekend preceding Monday, 15 September 2008, when Lehman declared bankruptcy.
Some of the story is narrated by the fictional character "Zach" (Landes), a Lehman employee often taking orders directly from Dick Fuld. Zach often breaks the Fourth wall, talking directly to the viewer.
