You can change them in the console by typing:
sv_voicecodec vaudio_celt - New
sv_voicecodec vaudio_speex - Old
and then by loading up an offline map.
CSGO's new voice codec significantly improves microphone quality in-game. I investigate the quality, delay and bitrate used. SPOILER: Nothing bad to report. For once, I'm pleased for there to be no unexpected findings.
All this time I assumed that people had toothbrush microphones. This update has left me pleasantly surprised! Of course, I've already heard it used to play high quality Justin Bieber in a 20-man game.

Overwatch and Trust Factor are clever methods to manipulate the CS:GO playerbase. Not just to stop cheaters and griefers. Not just to make innocent people happier. But also to reflect the problem away from Valve and at the players themselves.

Due to popular request I have done a tutorial, showing how to make people start with different weapons (For CSS in particular). It's also my first 1280x720 HD tutorial.
Get people to start with different weapons- or no weapons at all! think of the possibilities!
To do it you place an entity in the level, make it a game_player_equip . Turn off smartedit and... do what I do. For a full list of weapon names for CSS, look below. For other games, look in the entity list and at the bottom of all the types of entities it will show all of the different types of weapon and equipment. (I guess it works with equipment as well)
