The ability of a women to have control of her body is her INALIENABLE right.
Take away her reproductive choice and it's a slippery slope argument. If the government can force a woman to continue a pregnancy, what next? Forcing a woman to use contraception or undergo sterilization? As the fetus is part of the mother and can not survive independently from her, you can not impose it's freedom without violating the freedoms of the mother. If a virus, cancer or alien parasite was attacking your body creating disease/discomfort within you, it would be your right to remove it. Similarly the same applies with a fetus. As difficult as it may be to accept, the most important freedom is freedom over ones own body and mind. Without this, there is no freedom at all. This is one of the few moral dilemma's where the Non Violence Principle is in conflict with the Self Defense Principle making it a contentious issue. However, it is unequivocally someones right to do what they will with their own body, and as pregnancy can and is often dangerous, having long term ramifications, you can not force someone to compromise the sovereignty and health of their body for the life of another. All arguments to the contrary are immaterial.
