I don't need to use it as much as when I first started bending conduit, but I do from time to time pull it out of the old tool box. Now, just so you know to get the best results you need to pay attention to what I'm telling you in the video of when to use the seam on the conduit for certain bends like offsets, 3 point saddles and 4 point saddles. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter I guess, it's just a guide to help you keep the conduit in line with your bends. After a while you will see that you get better at keeping the conduit straight. You can also use the method to help you make multiple bends on a length of conduit. Hope this helps. This video is a continuation of Fabricating Unistrut Conduit Racks. This is part 2 of that video. In part 1 of the video I start by introducing you to the material you will be using to build conduit racks. Well at least 80% of the materials i introduce. I'm sure there are lots more that I didn't get to show you. But for the most part I touched upon most of the material you will come across. I go into detail on how to use them and when to use them. I also end off by putting together a rack. But in this video I show you various video clips on how you are able to use unistrut. I also elaborate on the video clips and go into detail explaining what it is you are watching. The best way to learn how to build racks is actually by fabricating them with your own hand. But building racks isn't rocket science therefore watching these video's will help you gain some experience by watching the way other electricians use unistrut to support conduit. My objective is to show you these video clips so that it can spark your creativity so that you can either copy what you see or better yet build supports in your own way with the materials that you have at hand. Anyhow, I hope that this 2 part video helps you at least a little. Remember, always level your unistrut in every direction possible and keep everything as straight as possible. Always find square and straight reference point to keep you unistrut straight and level. A laser will be the best tool for the job but is not necessary. In this short video I show you how to tie the Stopper Knot also known as the Mares Tale knot for wire pulling. Now let me be clear that this knot is not meant to replace a wire pulling head, it is not meant to be pulled through the inside of the conduit. This knot is simply used if you need to pull more wire out of the conduit your are pulling from and the tugger has already pulled the head of the wire as far as it can go. Well in that case you can take the rope off the head of the wire that was made up and you can use this knot to pull extra wire out of the conduit. Ok so now that i was clear about that lets get back to the knot. This knot can also be used if you have put lubricant on the wires. It's a good knot to use if you ever need to pull wire out of the conduit for whatever reason.
