Cuando se le preguntó cuándo se capturó el video, NPAS respondió: "Fue el sábado por la noche alrededor de las 21:30 y fue visto sobre el canal de Bristol a aproximadamente 1000 pies".
Se sugirió que era un globo, pero NPAS respondió: "¿El único problema leve es la cantidad de calor y viajaba hacia el viento?"
En cuanto al tamaño, cuando se le preguntó, NPAS respondió: "Es realmente difícil juzgar el tamaño, pero lo filmamos durante poco más de 7 minutos cuando regresábamos a tierra".

También dijeron que intentaron capturar el objeto con una cámara de luz diurna, pero no apareció nada. No poder ver el objeto es otra indicación de que no era una linterna china, ya que habría estado brillando.
NPAS dice que el video que publicaron, que dura poco más de un minuto, es solo una parte del video completo. Dicen que el video completo es de siete minutos. Cuando se les pregunta dónde está, dicen que la policía lo tiene ahora. Parece que el NPAS filmó una pantalla de video con un teléfono celular para publicarlo en línea. Durante unos pocos fotogramas, se puede ver a la persona que filma el video.
