STREET FIGHTER 2010 (NES) - SLAGMA MADE EASY - 4 SECOND QUICK KILL (NO DAMAGE!!)
A quick video to isolate some boss fights for speedrunning purposes. Towards the middle of Planet Sand Dune (Area 3) is Slagma, who can be taken out very quickly with two backflip shots downwards, and if you have the little Option power-up, you can stand right next to him, jump and backflip once more for 3 quick hits and should send him packing in about 4-5 seconds! ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVHQjblqprs
A commentary track to accompany a Drac strategy for a No Damage fight in the original Castlevania on the NES. I had listened to the Cane and Rinse podcast discussing this game and this particular fight, and when some of the discussion persisted on handling Dracula's 2nd form, I wanted to put this together to show how to get him to do what you want. This details where you should stand in Phase 1 to avoid Dracula's appearance on top of you, and how to manipulate his Phase 2 to do his high jump on command. With practice, you too can send The Count down for the count!

I wanted to test this guy out as much as possible. Even so... I got lucky. Still arguably the hardest boss to pull off perfect due to the "random" nature of some of his attacks. But one of the keys to reducing the number of times these attacks occur is to put on the pressure! If you can get some swings in before any of those attack animations start up, you can back him up to the wall, and possibly even land a shot while he's hanging out there, as well, until he does a roll attack back to the ground/towards you. Keep pressuring him while he's hanging out on the ground and hope for the best, as you at least have a shot at dodging any of his rolling attacks from the walls or ceiling. If you're fortunate enough to prevent his cheaper ground attacks, victory is assured.

Commentary track to the Chapel stage.
How 'bout that? There's a boss fight in here! Some of the "stage select" areas just load to a black screen with your life bar and it freezes up, but the Chapel is available! You seem to have to go up some stairs and collect an item or two in order to trigger the opening door and a boss fight with Medusa. Two phases, including Snake Boobies and Giant Medusa Head, each of which just either bum rush you or spit venom and sidestep. Each of which can be beaten by just standing in front and whipping away at her face.
Played on authentic Dreamcast hardware. Where did I acquire the means to a playable disc? Let's just say the spirits have been good to me.

A commentary track to accompany the domination. Had to talk kinda fast, because there's a lot to cover in such a short time. Nonetheless, Super Contra dissected and decimated!

I realized there are far too few videos out there going in depth on what is thought to be one of the hardest boss fights in Castlevania history. In reality, there are tricks to it that will have you dominating Dracula in no time! Here I give commentary on where to stand, weapons to use and where you want to begin Phase 2, then how to avoid the "demon form" attacks and finish him off from a safe distance. Down for the Count!

A quick blow by blow on the classic 5 boss rush in Stage 6, followed by Shaft himself, with zero damage taken. Once you figure most of the bosses out, it's not so tough to get through them unscathed, save for Akmodan's wrap "snow" attack. I'd like to find some kind of foolproof safe spot so as to do this without subweapons, but the Axe item crash does just fine to clear them here. Shaft is a tad unpredictable, though. His 2nd "electric pillar" attack seems to vary in placement, and it can be very difficult to avoid taking damage from it depending on where you're standing in relation to Shaft. Things worked out here, though!
Played on the PS4 Castlevania: Requiem game, recorded via the PS4 Share feature. No turbos, pausing, tool assists or any other cheats were used.

The Stage 2 Boss might be the hardest one in the game to handle without taking any damage or reaching him unscathed. While the stage and boss itself aren't terribly tough, finishing with the No Damage bonus is ultra challenging due to all kinds of cheap hits, a lack of reliable strategy for playing it totally safe, etc. However, your best bet is to save up plenty of hearts and use the Stopwatch item crash! It will create a series of homing missiles that will keep him too busy to get too many of his cheaper attacks in, and if you can use it twice, he shouldn't survive after the second. Keep moving, and be ready to avoid that final attack!

Another perfected boss fight. If you're savvy, you can snag that high candle for the Bible via the Axe from a previous stage and do some major damage with it, but this method kept it a little more honorable. Besides, having Hydro Storm on hand deals with the one attack of his that is the most tricky to avoid. He's honestly not too tough a fight, but when he connects, he does big damage, and the flying head is a real pain with the curse effect if it touches you. A well timed backflip deals with that just fine, though. His only real cheap tactic can come if he gets too close with his leap and thrusts and corners you if you don't get to the other, more open side of him. You can read most of his cues without much trouble. Try to read his head throw, as one of them will cause rocks to rain down. Either hide in the same spot as you would for the other head attack, OR use Hydro Storm on that one, which very well might end the fight straight up. He's a little harder to hit in this than in his SNES incarnation, but still, not so bad, and another perfect fight down!

Once you're maxed out, this becomes child's play. Homing Diamond Bullets with the Recycle Hat + Summon Hellhound with Gebel's Glasses makes very quick work of everything and everybody.
