In the Harlem case, Sgt. Kurwin Klien shot and killed Ubaldo Gomez, 44, on May 20 after Gomez fatally shot his sister-in-law in a fifth-floor apartment on St. Nicholas Terrace at W. 127th St. Gomez, an NYPD auxiliary cop, grabbed a kitchen knife and started stabbing another man in the apartment after his wife got his gun away from him. When Klien and another officer approached the apartment, Gomez was still inside, wrestling with the man. "Careful, careful, careful. Cameras on. Cameras on,” Klien said as he stood at the apartment door, looking in. “Yo, hands! Show me your hands, man!” He repeated that command several times, telling Gomez, “Just show me your hands so I can come inside and give you some help!” When he entered the apartment, he saw Gomez and the bloodied man struggling, and again yelled, “Show me your hands! Hands, hands!” Gomez raised the knife, appearing to get ready to plunge it, and Klien shot him twice, killing him. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department re;eased body cameras (3) of Lancaster Station deputy-involved shooting that occurred on December 4, 2023. On December 4, 2023, at 6:08 p.m., Lancaster Station deputies responded to an apartment in the 2100 block of East Avenue J-8 in the city of Lancaster, regarding a domestic violence call. A female called 9-1-1 and reported that her boyfriend would not leave her alone and then screaming and sounds of a struggle could be heard. The female was later identified as 27-year-old Niani Finlayson of Lancaster. Upon arrival, deputies approached the apartment's front door, where they heard heated arguments and yelling inside. While attempting to gain entry, a female adult opened the door wielding a large kitchen knife. Finlayson told deputies she was going to stab her boyfriend for pushing her daughter. She then retreated back into the apartment toward her boyfriend. As deputies entered,Finlayson,bstill armed with the knife, grabbed her boyfriend an apparent attempt to stab him, and a deputy-involved shooting occurred. Gunfire struck Finlayson, causing her to fall and drop the weapon. Deputies provided immediate first aid until Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics arrived and continued medical assistance. Despite efforts, Finlayson was pronounced deceased upon arrival at a local hospital. An approximately eight-inch bladed kitchen knife was recovered at the scene. Finlayson 's boyfriend became combative after the deputy-Involved Shooting and was subsequently arrested for child abuse and assault on a peace officer. Memphis, Tennessee --- Body camera footage of a man shot by Memphis police in 2018 was released by the Shelby County District Attorney's Office on Tuesday. The footage of D'Mario Perkins, 29, shows the night where he was approached by two MPD officers, Brandon Barnes and David Reinke, while he was sitting in his car. It is not clear whose body camera footage was operating at the time of the shooting due to redacted information in Tennessee Bureau of Investigations documents. At 45 seconds into the video, Perkins was approached by officers while he was inside of a blue Pontiac Firebird while on South Third Street and Mitchell Road. An officer on camera approached Perkins saying his license plates were not registered with the Department of Motor Vehicles. Not long after an officer is heard yelling "drop the weapon" and then several shots were immediately fired. It is not clear on footage who fired the shots first on camera. Images from Perkins' car show that several shots were fired, shattering the rear window of the car. Perkins was shot in his torso, left shoulder, back, right shoulder and was grazed on his right ear, right side of his jaw, left eyelid, left eye and left elbow, according to the report. INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department released body cameras, surveillances camera video, maps, pictures of an officer involved shooting that occurred on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at approximately 3:50 pm, an officer with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) was shot during an incident that included an officer-involved shooting in the 1600 block of W. 30th Street. At approximately 3:40 pm, IMPD Northwest District officers responded to the 6400 block of Kentstone Drive on a report of two people shot. Upon arrival, officers located two victims with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. Officers provided medical treatment to the victims on the scene. Both victims were transported to St. Vincent Hospital. One of the victims, a 61-year-old female, was in critical condition and the other, a 38-year-old male, was in stable condition. Based upon evidence currently available, detectives believe the alleged suspect, 21-year-old Keith Allender, is the victims’ neighbor. At this time detectives believe Allender shot the female victim who was inside a vehicle. A toddler was also inside the vehicle at the time of the incident, but was unharmed. Allender also shot the male victim who was outside of the vehicle. The shooting was seemingly unprovoked and no disturbance preceded the shooting. The female shooting victim was able to drive a short distance away. Detectives learned a 55-year-old female attempted to provide assistance to the female shooting victim and was allegedly intentionally struck by Allender driving the SUV. She was later transported to St. Vincent Hospital and was in stable condition. Allender then left the scene in a SUV. Detectives believe Allender fired shots at and struck three civilian vehicles in the area of 3500 W. 62nd Street while driving. Nobody was injured at that location. Officers located Allender at approximately 3:44 pm driving the SUV near W. 62nd Street and North Michigan Road and attempted to detain him. Allender allegedly exited his vehicle, fired shots at two officers, striking one officer’s vehicle, and then proceeded southbound on Michigan Road. Allender fled from officers in the vehicle and officers engaged in a vehicle pursuit. Allender drove southbound on Michigan Road (then Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard), westbound on W. 30th Street, and stopped in the 1600 block of W. 30th Street at approximately 3:50 pm. It is believed five officers and the alleged suspect then exchanged gunfire.
