Rig of the futuristic pistol used by Kiera Cameron in sci-fi show Continuum. The pieces are carved to allow the device to be folded onto itself realistically. It would be possible, though difficult to construct a functional mechanical prop using these designs.
Geometry is grouped and animated via "Set Driven Keys" in Maya. That way newer model pieces can always be substituted for the existing ones without the need for re-rigging. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWpcWOcqO54
I've received a request to explain how the internal structure was done in one of my demos, so I rebuilt the setup from memory. Original clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qMI5RMG6WE

These project files showcase 2 slightly different approaches to the same setup. In the first one the structure is held in place with a very weak transform constraint. A field is required to break the constraint and trigger a chain reaction.
In the second setup 2 weak transform constraints are used. The stronger one holds the foundation in place and weaker one affects everything above it. That way the gravity causes the lower floors to pancake first and that affects the integrity of the upper section, causing it to split.

Many Suzuki vehicles share a similar stereo panel, which by default doesn't have an aux stereo input. We're going to be adding our own with a couple of cheap off-the-shelf components.
We'll need a 3.5mm stereo socket, a 3-lead extension wire and a 1-10k resistor. In terms of tools - a Philips type screwdriver, a drill and a dremel.
Here's an example of someone else performing a similar mod that he says the dealer would've charged $95 for, instead of $2.50 in parts that it's actually worth:

Very first deepfake attempt. Manual color correction wasn't too good, but back then DFL didn't produce a very good result. Matte modes were limited and color blending - highly inaccurate. Manually, luminance levels were hard to control due to faces changing direction, resulting in traveling highlights to which the deepfrake didn't respond. So one half of the face would always have the wrong tone.
